very nice and this has all been good info.

that is exactly what I am wanting to do.

What size pot do you usually grow in at 4 per? 10-15gal?

and any tips on building that massive root system? seems this is definitly key.
links to threads?

thank you for all your info here. VERY helpful.

Pots,, nothing smaller than 7 with 1000w lights and I get massive roots by cutting my organic soil 1:1 soil/coco and a good wet/dry cycle during veg.....coco is key....

Roots with coco soil after 15 days
ROOTT

that is beautiful. 15 days from transplant from clone?

what do you feed? how often do you water? and when you say wet/dry....do you mean letting it completely dry out?

I'm in the middle of that grow journal now, just go check it out and I'll talk to you over there....if I'm gonna answer questions about things in that grow I would rather it be one that thread.....the link is in my sig...."lucky charms vs goji og"

Yea man, I answered all the questions your looking for in my journals already, and if you still have questions after its no problem...but its all there, mixing coco/soil, feeding, watering, compost teas, everything....

my turn, here are the 4 HellsAngelOGxAfghans I'm mainlining fem seed

Im leaving an extra node to take clones from every time i top which gives me 2 clones every top, only bad thing is it slows down the growth.

The runt is catching up

I messed this one up when i topped it so, it only has the mainline nodes above that are jus extra fans leaves

My fav outta the bunch, the biggest and the stinkiest

Its hard to see in this pixs but I'm trying mainlining on my clones 2, but its more LSt than mainlining. I remember now why i would let my plants get outta control in veg, its alotta work to pull plants out and play with them aka train em, but u get what u put into it and nothing worth anything isn't handwork.
towards the left of the pixxs u can see other clones that have not been tied down yet but have been topped and all nodes stripped except for 2 that were closest together, i did leave extra fan leaves tho. I'm getting good at removing the new shoots but leaving the fans intact

Thanks again for making me see the flaws in my lazy ways @clockworx

confu.

Looking great Confu!
I have a couple that look like your 3rd pic with the temp leaves no shoots :)

yea man i figured that the extra fans can only help unless they r shading the new shoots underneath. I like yours 2. Looks like this should be a game changer for both us. Sometimes we kno what needs to be done but need someone to slap us across the face to get us to do it. this thread slapped me in the face.

clones are harder...but, this super skunk clone (from GoD) is mainlining herself :D
Mainstensuperskunk

Just look at her Pray! :)(her sister and mom do that outside too!)
OG type Clones like the cookie in the bag on the left are going to be harder for me

Looking good bro, its easy to get lazy during veg (everyone does) that's why its important to have people posting good reading material and ideas, everything in life needs some new spark and attention now and then. Relationships are no different ladies and gents, try some bending and tying with you mate and get that flame going again..:oldman:

Hey mainliners!

Just curious do you have any info yet on yield improvements with this method?

I am evaluating this method VS just light trimming and just hoping for some more info -

Example, Would it be worth the extra daily attention required to main line if the yield is 1 OZ per light? ETC... Now if training does result in a much higher yield/less plants/etc then you all are definitely onto something
My style will be many plants, in a bed or 4 gallon pots close to each other under 3, 1000 W lights (per 5 X10 space).

Its more about better growth pattern and better quality buds, normal topping gives you tops but some branches are smaller, lowers on the smaller branches are weaker....mainlining gives you true main colas, steady growth and solid high quality lowers, yes yield can be better but yield has more to do with a longer veg time and nicer set of healthy roots than anything else, now if you use that WITH mainlining, that's when you get the best results....the method takes longer in veg normally so its kinda comes hand in hand.....its not for everyone and even I don't do it on all my plants. Personally, I like to really see my plants natural growth pattern from seed, most times I have plans of mainlining them but end up just topping once and seeing what they do....when I do choose to mainline them i always get better looking, higher quality buds but if your looking for a dramatic yield increase, bigger pots and longer veg is the key.......
