Wisher
what do you think those little gray bugs are
wisher am i wrong to think bigger pot = bigger yields ? if i have the space?
I cant remember where i read it but i remember something along the lines of
each gallon =1oz is that true
More roots more yield.
I'm still learning, experimenting, testing etc.
But my most recent highest yield
Was the beast in a 10 gallon pot.
It yielded .611 oz per gallon of soil.
That same plant cloned and in a 5 gal pot yielded .508 oz per gallon of soil.
Comparing my 3rd grow it had 4 plants in 2 gallon pots (8gallons).
Averaging it's yield and soil volume 4.6oz÷8gallons= .575oz per gallon.
So once you find where your averages fall. You can estimate your total needed soil volume for your intended yields.
for me I now know I can expect on avg .56oz per gallon. Hopefully it increases in time as I experiment and come to conclusions on theories/ideas.
I will adapt certain variables that I believe help me achieve my desired goals.
But if I want to yield more I need to find a way to add more soil.
If I ever find a way to make the whole floor one big pot that perfectly took up all the sq ft of floorspace. Then I could just choose the right height to achieve my desired soil volume.
Based on an average yield of .56oz per gallon. I would need in theory 25.29 gallons of soil in my 2x2 tent to hit 1g per watt .
But really thanks for asking this question. Because with this math I found a 20 gallon
smart pot that will fit in my space just barely. I ordered it and am going to give it a try this run
