GOLDEN, Colorado — Edible marijuana in Colorado is getting a new look — but regulators searching for a way to make that happen have made no progress after four meetings to debate it.
A group of regulators, law enforcement, parent groups and edible-pot makers wrapped up a final task force meeting Monday with no consensus or votes on what edible marijuana should look like.
The group is searching for a way to comply with a new law requiring marijuana-infused foods and drinks to have a distinct look. Mostly the members have bickered about whether it would be possible to make sure the wide variety of pot-infused products don't look like regular foods.
The Marijuana Enforcement Division is required to submit a recommendation by February to lawmakers, who make the final decision.
