How true is it....that older units used to interfere with radio frequencies etc?
Yea I always remembered hearing something along the lines, but wasn't too sure what it was.Newer ones do too. But some companies shield them like Galaxy. And my solis tech ballasts dont seem to have rf interference either.
i think you need quite a few electronic unsheilded ballasts to attract the attention of the cable company tech or something. One or two may not be a real problem anyway.
I used a TS3000 and pulled 27oz dried bud from 5 bubba kush plants.
Can't simply do the calculate, it's so complicated, they are between 1.5-2.0, on the description of the replacement HPS or CMH watt is for reference. So we suggest people to know true watt. And from @Timbo0716 feedback, the results are good. TS3000 actual power is 450w.
You do the right choice, 2 lights better than 1I have to edit because some reason my comment wasn't in the reply. I was thinking about grabbing the 3000 for my 4x4 but since I already had one of the TSL-2000's I figured just to add one more to be easier. I think the draw on 2 of the TSL-2000's is 600w while the draw on a 3000 is 450.
For mars hydro light, 2mx2m area, 4pcs TSW2000 is enough, can cover all your area even at bloom stage, the TSW2000 actual power is 310wIm thinking maybe 4x TSW 2000 its half the price of the ts 3000 and has less powerdraw whitch is important for me.
I could only wish to have a setup like that. For mars hydro light, 2mx2m area, 4pcs TSW2000 is enough, can cover all your area even at bloom stage, the TSW2000 actual power is 310w
I'm afraid that this combination can fully cover the area of 2mx2m, the TSL2000 and SP250 coverage both are 2'x4' at bloom. The tsw2000 ad TS3000 will be better, and don't forget our ts has the reflector can do better in the corner, can add 20% par valueId personally put 2 SP-250's in the middle since the coverage is more closer then put 2 TSL-2000's on the outsides to get a more spreaded coverage to hit the corners better.
Actually, @SadBadGrower doesn't get any extra discount from us, maybe he used the normal discount 3%But i do care if your review holds any weight from experience. Mars does not.
I think I'll pickup one of your lamps to evaluate. I use a 5x9 tent with a different LED vendor.
I have a spectrometer to verify the spectral characteristics and a quantum PAR meter to get some flux measurements. This is the spectrum I get from my current lamps:

The current lamps use about 230 watts ( I use one per plant ) get great penetration ( often a bit too bushy ). Unfortunately - I don't usually gather gram/watt data because I cure whole branch and recently - whole plant - to get a better smoke. All that branch and stem stuff fucks up that measure-product plan. But I don't really care about the economics of it so much as not letting some other grower put shit on the weed I smoke and share. We may have recently un-fucked the compassionate giving laws where I am - I'm more into that scene anyway.
I digress.
I think the small lamp or perhaps one of the slightly larger sub-200 watt models.
