Nice grow Maya, I like the alfalfa recipe but the leaf curl has me worried. I'm thinking I'll dilute it by half maybe. What you think about that everyone? Also, Maya, is that ordinary epsom salt like from the drug store or are you using garden grade? I'm asking cause I wanna make some ASAP and I do have regular soaking ES. So far I've just been feeding kelp/ fish emulsion which is nice but I figure I can probably use some extra juice.

The problem is that it further develops fungal hyphae--what the larvae, I assume, are feeding on.

I got back from Puerto Rico Wednesday evening, checked things out yesterday morning. The little fucks took some more seedlings but it's far better than before. Maybe I should have had my husband do an application or two, but it rained in between and he had his hands full as it was anyway. If they're dried out today (unlikely, I think we had some sprinkles last night) then I'll do another heavy treatment.

What's Pure Protein? Anything like aminos? (I have a bag of aminos stashed somewhere, and I also have a lot of Ca25, didn't really use it last year.)

Never, and I am in agreement with JF, it's to do with transpiration, not nutrients, and not Mg. However, what I see generally in hot plants is canoeing downward, not the rhododendron-like upward cupping (rhodies cup upward when it's cold, to conserve moisture). Remember that Mg is highly, HIGHLY mobile, too, and a really easy tell as to whether or not it's involved is to give a foliar using 1/4tsp/gal water. If you see any changes they should be notable and quick, like in hours to a day.

Also, keep in mind that MgSO4 actually provides more S than it does Mg. ;)

Very hard to over apply, will not burn. I use as a foliar most cases, but a good root drench does wonders for the micro life.

I have to say what got rid of my gnat issue finally is NPK Promis.
Shit works way better than gnatrol ever did. I used to be a firm believe in Gnatrol also.

So that pure protein I used all last year. Good stuff. I like to use liquid fish because it still has all the oils and extra stuff for the bennies. I am going to make my own this year I believe.

What's your spacing on those ladies?

There are a few different spacings. My garden has been the point of different techniques. The dug out holes (4x4x4) are approximately 8 ft centers , the in ground beds I'm spacing at about 8 to 10 ft. And the TH pots are spaced between 12 and 14 ft apart.

Soo far in my experience, plants in the in ground beds have done the best. This is the first year of the TH pots And I'm having some high hopes for them. So far so good .Things are growing super fast and steady.

Been there, done that. I think I have a special problem, honestly. Just found another pole bean that had begun to sprout, and the little fuckers ate it. You'd think the parasitic nematodes would have been the death knell, ya know?

then some firebox with alien boss in the back

and last we have some super silver haze from mns.the guy standing is about 6'4". I've never had plants this big this early. Wow!

Anyone have any tricks for cucumber beatles? They're pretty bad this year.

Gah! I just whipped past an article, can't even recall if it was online or in print. I'd try Bt and Spinosad in rotation, doing applications in the evening.
