Got my eye glasses ordered so I`ll be able to do some trimming again soon! Been using non-script reading glasses and getting head aches. I have a bunch of tests to get done before the next doctors visit and then time to think about a dentist.

Going to start working on hash soon until I get my glasses and can do some trimming.

Eye doc did a complete check up and no sign of any damage except for age. I`m taking better care of my self now and it`s slowly starting to show. Never had anyone have diabetes in my family except maybe a great uncle. He had gang green in his foot and died from it. To much marching during the war of Northern Aggression( Civil War ). bunion got infected. Not sure if he had diabetes or not though. His brother died early also but that was from being kicked by a horse while shoeing it. I think they were only in there 70`s. Most my family makes it into the 100`s. My Grandmother only made it to 97 and died of a hart attack but she was dancing and drinking home made whiskey and didn`t have her nitro with her. Mothers side only seem to make it into there late 80`s. I think they had some diabetes in the family ?

Life sucks! My daughter is fighting more than censer, she and her two young sons are living with a friend because her dead beat husband won`t help support the kids. She`s separated and getting a divorce. Problem is while the friend is a nice person she is not responsible with her money and has run up a utility bill of over $900 . The utilities are going to be shut off soon. Nothing I can do about it as I`ve had so many bills and expenses this month. Eats me up when my kids and grandkids are hurting !

Went to the Doc today. He gave me Gabapentin for the nerve pain, it helps some. I also will need some lab tests done. Going back in two weeks after tests are done. Looks like I`ll be in and out until I get my blood sugar under control. Next is the eye Doc and I need to get into a Dentist soon also. Your health is your wealth! I`m going to really start working on better health!

Got bad news ,my daughter`s cancer has grown back after her operation. They are going to try again and then put her on more chemo afterwards. She has two young boys who need their mom so please pray for her!

I`m looking into the phoenix tears!

First, keep yourself healthy and PLEASE get the blood sugar (I was gonna say BS until I realized it looked wrong) under control. Diabetes killed my mother-in-law at a very young age, and the last two years of her life were HELL. Truly.

In the meantime, don't just look into the oil, do it. If someone here can't get you set up, then I'm sure between us we all know someone, I know three people off the top of my head who make it regularly.

Prayers sent to St. Rita for health and wellness.

Not in Cali it`s PG$E here! I`m not saying that it`s in anyway the companies fault. In fact it`s my daughter`s friend`s fault. But it`s a sad thing for my daughter who has enough on her plate at the moment.

Not much I can do right now as I just paid the rent up for the house in the valley and property taxes ,registration on my RV and other bills so I`m nearly broke. The house in the valley is small and my son is already living there and my RV is way to small. WishI could get my property all fixed up faster !

I`m doing what I can and it`s helping. Seems I should have gotten a blood monitor kit first off though! I`m only on pills and they want to take two weeks to do testing and see the Doc again ! I`m not sure if I can get a blood kit on medical/medicare without a Doctor `s order but next trip to town I`m going to find out. I wouldn`t be able to adjust my medications but I would be able to see the effect of my eating and adjust my meals if I now the blood sugar levels before and after each mean. All I can do is count calories at this point. I am eating smaller meals more often to even out my blood sugar as recommended by the Doc and taking the meds they gave me. And yes I`m looking into making oil with my trim this year. I do feel a little better but I`m a little scared as my wife died from diabetes.

You can also exercise a bit more, no? Any extra activity goes toward keeping blood sugar down. It's just as important to keep levels stable, because big drops are no good either.

Just let the farm know if you need any help with that oil, ok? There's no reason why your daughter should be going without, no reason at all. :)

I think the pain in my feet and leg was caused from having my blood sugar high over a long time and it may get better with time if I can keep my blood sugar under control. I put off going to the doctor trying to get my harvest done. It got picked on the vine and is mostly sitting in boxes euro curing until I can get back to it. My son is working on some of it down in the valley. There were 4 of us trimming, I was mostly lame, my son has a bad back, The kid who is healing from a hip fracture and his mom who was healing from breast censer surgery. We worked until the rains came. The crop is safe, just not finished. I still don`t know how much I got but estimate 45-50 lbs. Not bad for such late plants but I`m working on doing better next year! I`m gleaning the plants for what I can get for hash making today and will start trimming after that. I`ve managed to do some cleanup and now have a small amount of fire wood so I can worm myself with the fire pit outside. I need to fetch water from the creek soon also . Life is much harder up here with no water pressure and being off grid. When I get the farm up and running it will get much better! I really want to have my Sansui stereo working up here as all I have is a cheep portible sonny stereo right now. I did get a flat screen, blue ray dvd player and a good HDTV antenna but I still have to run the generator to use it and it takes a lot of fuel. Once I can get set up with solar I`ll be in heaven ! It`s just going to take time and hard work, but it`s getting better every year and it will be worth it in the end. Good thing is everything is getting done on a cash as I go basis so I`ll never lose what I`ve worked hard for to the bankers again!

Neuropathy is a typical feature of diabetes, but don't you also have back problems? I get neuropathy and numbness, LOTS of numbness, but my blood sugar stays pretty much pegged at 80, no matter what. My problem is my cholesterol, especially triglycerides. :D

Sounds like you've got a good crop, pretty good by the sounds of it. You'll have plenty of trim for making oil. I couldn't do what you're doing, my back and knees would see to that. Sounds like you could also maybe use a kitty lap-warmer.

I have very high triglycerides as well as A S ,IBS and Gout. I also have had positive tests for RA and Lupus. Falling apart at the seams I guess. I have know idea how I get anything done. Been sick all my life. I think it is the cannibis cookies my Grandmother gave me when I first got sick at 6 yrs old and the continued medical cannabis use that`s kept me going!

doc's got me on Gabapentin too, 600mg at night, while during the day I take methodone and soma. Slowly have gotten away from the norcos mixed into the daily pill salad. Have a scrpt for marinol, but leave it in the fridge and just stay with my flowers. The my seizure meds 3 xs a day on top of paxil to handle the daily stress. ( been the house "bitch" since the DUI, due to my woman if pretty much in bed 15-20 hrs a day due to spinal damage) The smoke helps me more than anything else, but after 2.5 years of pain/suffering I still take the meds here and there. Be glad when I am off all of it but cannabis.

I may have a blood monitor around here, I will look for it while finishing cleaning my shop. (lol, already found several things I thought were long gone) If I find it, you are more than welcome to it. Although I am sure you are like me and dont take too kindly to strangers and my location. Im sure we could get it too you one way or another :)

Good luck with your daughter bro, and your health :D

Thanks urbanfog much appreciated let me know! I don`t have anything available to make oil right now for my daughter but I`m going to make her some strong butter for starters. Didn`t get to gleaning today, just didn`t feel that good. I did get some help getting some fire wood logs to cut up. My trimmers showed up for some medication. Gave them a few oz to keep them for now. Both have real needs. The kid helped me bring home some 4 ft green pine logs from where someone downed a pine tree on Forrest Service land by a road and just left it. I`ll get the chainsaw sharpened and cut it up later.

Good news, my daughter`s friend got the money up for the PG&E bill! Just got to get her some butter made. She goes back in for surgery on Weds.

Looks like some rain today, not cold but feels cooler.Maybe why I`m not feeling as good, It`s the joints and bones hurting.
