You said you were going to use black plastic for your forcing greenhouse but I think the way to go is the breathable blackout cloth, plastic would make it way too humid in there. Farmtek catalog sells all types of material for building greenhouses, you can find it in there. Lightproof but breathable so you don't get mold or mildew growing in the greenhouse.

Thanks that`s good advise fractal !

The loader is down with a broken hydrolic line until sometime tomarrow. I also had to pull there little 4x4 cart out to the landing and then fallowed them home, well almost as I got a flat tire just a few hundred feet from there house and had to change it out. Looking like the work will take until Monday or Tuesday now.

I`m thinking of using my blue plastic barrol as a funnel and running plastic pipe from above on the creek to the road so I`ll have pressure to fill my 150 gal tank in my truck. I`ll fix my 100 gal tank`s leak with fiber glass and make a wood stand for the 300 gal tank in the garden. I bought a 12 volt transfer pump to pump the water from the truck into the other water tanks. I should have enough presure to water the garden without using jugs this year.

Sounds like things are going along nicely for you, glad you will be able to drive home(all the way) soon. Should be a busy summer for you, glad things are moving along at the home front. Hopefully all is well with you and yours

They got the loader fixed and the road is ruffed in within sight of the creek. They`ll finish ruffing the road in tomarrow and then they plan on moving to the top and doing the finish work downwards. I been repotting around playing fetch for them to keep them going.A little gas,oil ,and a few cold drinks going down in the truck and rounds of oak on the return trips. I am holding off on getting supplies for the garden until they are done. I have to be here all the time until they move the loader back to there place to keep watch on it.

The road is in to the creek! I just have to walk in with some loppers and cut any brush root balls that were missed so I don`t get flats and put in my water pipe for running water. Now the work begians! Need to clean and fix water tanks, get soil and amendments, and fix the above ground containers. Plants are repotted and will be ready to plant in a few weeks. The Loader operator even helped me load my big generator in the truck so I can take it in to be serviced. I think security measures can wait until plants are starting to bud so when it`s all in I`ll only have to water ,train, and feed the plants some tea once in a while. I`ll take a few `before ` pics and post em soon.

Be sure to get around to the security measures eventually though! I'd hate to read that you got ripped again this year, and having been ripped before you are on the radar for another score. I know you take the high road and rise above it, not wanting to shoot them or anything but enough is enough. . . You deserve to harvest what you planted and not lose any to scumbag rippers again. It would be a good idea to set up some trail cams on top of all your security so you get pictures of anyone who tries to steal your crop whether they succeed or not.

I thought about trail cams but then if I do catch them I`d rather not have it on a cam. Thinking bob wire, strings with cans, my dog and gun. Maybe a few solar powered flood lights with motion sensers and a barking dog alarm ,oh maybe a couple Big Ben alarm clock trip wires also. Then there will also be burms of brush stacked up with the loader to 10 foot and electric fience wire on a solar charger. Lets see, Was it possitve to right nut and negitive to left nut or the other way around? Anyway they`d be better off not trying it!

If there's anything incriminating caught on the camera you can just destroy it. Best case it will catch the person's face or identifying clothing so you can report the theft and have proof, or use it however you see fit. Sounds like you have the right idea though. . . Redundant levels of deterrent to any trespassers. Motion sensors are the best idea for sure. Barb wire strung in 8 inch gaps up to 6 feet off the ground would probably keep anyone from getting past that. Anyways I don't want to dwell on the negative aspects of growing, better to focus on the positives like all the fat buds you will have come fall, right?

Mark, find a harbor freight near you and try to pick up a bunch of driveway monitors, they are wireless and you can put them around your grow and if anyone enters that perimeter it sounds a loud warning to you inside your home(no noise outside)best of all they are like 18 bucks each. After you hear the warning a couple well placed shotgun blasts should discourage the the criminals, lol.

This is one of the best drive way monitors out Mark. The probe is what is cool.
Dakota Alert Wireless Driveway Monitor. Dakota Alert Driveway Monitor With this wireless driveway motion alert system you'll know when someone is coming up the driveway. The weatherproof transmitter is engineered for year-round outdoor use and projects a passive infrared beam across the driveway that will sense motion of people or vehicles up to 80 ft. away. You program the receiver in your home to sound one of four tones when the beam is crossed. You control the volume, tone style and duration of the sound. The sensor operates on a 9-volt battery (not included) and the receiver plugs into a home wall outlet. (Maximum range is 600 ft.)

Wireless Probe Alert This is a very effective tool for detection of vehicles only. The probe is buried parallel to the driveway and will detect any vehicle passing within 10-12 ft. Powered by a 9-volt battery (not included), the unit comes with 50 ft. of burial cable to connect the probe to a transmitter box. When the probe senses a vehicle, the transmitter activates a tone on the receiver in your home up to 600 ft. away. Because it detects only metal objects, it's ideal for areas where deer, farm animals or pedestrians could trigger false alarms from motion detection systems.
Available: Infared, Probe.

The dakotas are the ones i have too LTS ,i bought online for like 25 bucks each but i have a few buds that are using the harbor freight ones but dont know who makes them.

I`m in Butt County about 3+ hours north of you. Your welcome to visit but you really need to go through a full grow To learn much. Each grow is a learning lesson. I`m more looking for people who want to use my space to grow for working on the property. I`ll have my hands full with my own grow so won`t be able to help them with there plants to much. There would be a total limit of 99 plants but there are other near by areas to grow off the property(just not on US Goverment land please!).

Lookin for help?;)

Problem with a driveway alarm is I`m off grid. I have a generator. I gess I could use a car battery and a small inverter but I`d have to keep charging up the battery.
My large generator went into the shop and they said it will 3 weeks+ as they are backed up. I`m hopeful it will get done faster as I`ll need it for the cement mixer to mix my soils up.If I don`t have it it will set planting time back.
I am working on the stuble from the brush on the road.Running over it can pop a tire. shovel and lopers time! Got the stuff to put into the creek for water presure ,just need to go over the road by hand and do a little clean upfirst.

I cleaned up the place a little today,my son is coming for a visit on Sat. Been working on projects that have been put to the side because it will be three weeks or more until I get my generator back from the shop. Can`t mix soil in a cement mixer without enough power. It also makes it a little safer from fire near the trailor. I ran out of daylight and have an other truck load of plants to unload in the morning. After taking care of all the plants I`m going to work on the stuble from cutting brush on the road. I stopped about 1/3 the way down the road. I did make my water collecter from a blue water barrol and a 100 ft. 5/8`s inch hose but would rather it had been 3/4 inch line. Hope to get the water in and start working on the water tanks next. I plan on taking and posting some pics tomarrow. Most of the stuble was taking care of by the loader but it is still hard ,dirty work that I`ll be glade when it`s over.

I tryed earlyer to down load some pics but my conection was way slow ,so here goes again!
