Check out the winchester pdx1 2 3/4" 12 gauge load. It's like a 1 oz slug backed up by 3 pellets of OO buck. So you can wreck shit with the slug if a slug is necessary, and still have the benefit of striking the target at close range with 4 projectiles at the time.

Got OO buck in the feed tube, pdx1s in the side saddle for a rainy day.

In terms of best terminal ballistics from a .223 against flesh, the big kids in the sandbox have been using heavyweight hollowpoints for some time.

Personally I prefer 69 gr hornady hollowpoints for terminal and external ballistics for 1:9 twist barrels, and 75 gr hornady hollowpoints for 1:7 twist.

Can't go wrong with M855/SS109 spec 62 gr for a general purpose load in many ways.

Buffalo Bore is healthy, but damn they charge a lot!

I like 357 sig, 125 gr gold dot at 1450 fps, reproduces old-skool .357 magnum ballistics.
However those were sjhps, they would fragment, mine is bonded, does well vs barriers if need be.

Deep Buddy, for long range performance in a manageable package you might check out .243.
And a 16" barreled LMT AR-15.
Check out the Kel-tec RFB while you are at it.
And the Kel-tec KSG.I have done some homework.

14+1 capacity. 2 feed tubes. Can select from buckshot or slugs real quick.
Bullpup, so hella short and handy.

i love kel tec!!!! the rfb is on my wish list, love the .308's. basically anything kel-tec is good, they have a alot of .223's too. i would go w/ the plr16 in .223! but i still love my .45's. cant wait for kel-tec to come up with a good .45 pistol

Kel-tec will not accept investors' money, so they can call all their own shots, and expand slowly, not overextend themselves.
So there are less RFBs and KSGs than there would otherwise would be, due to less CNC machines pumping out components. So availability is limited compared to some tools.
And they are not, strictly speaking, Mil-spec.
But dude, I want some Kel-tec gear SOOO bad.

OMG I looked back at the picks of my plants in the pop up and they are 3x`s as big already! I really need to get some work done or I`m going to be spending all my time repotting these ladies so they aren`t root bound. I`ve had 13 plants bit off at the bottem and some wer carried away by what I think is a rodient. I moved all the plants into the clearing that were around the out side of the pop up.I also put out sticky traps and rat-mouse bate trays last night. Checked and no plants taken last night but nothing in the traps ether.

Change of plans. I have about 2-3 days of hard work to get into the creek. Then need to put in the water and fix my water tanks.I think I`m going to switch to working on the water tanks as the creek I used last year is running high for now. It ran dry last year and I will need to get to my water but right now I need to get my plants in the ground soon. I will work on the tanks then the above ground planters and fetch water from the other creek for now. I can finish the road to my creek long before the other creek runs dry anyway. I also need to go get loads of soil with the truck . So much to do! It will be nice when I get my generator back!!! I`ll be able to set up lights at night and work in the cool of the night and take something beside spunge baths!!!

That kel tec bullpup is badass but we will never see it in cali, should of picked up a street sweeper when i had a chance!

I saw where some dude with a bullet button and a "permanent" enough barrel extension of some sort, and maybe a 10-round FN-FAL(metric) mag was able to comply with Cali's rules regarding long guns.
There may have been other adjustments made to be compliant, I do not recall. But I think it may be possible.
I have been off the grid for short periods of time, no more than a few weeks at a time.
It is a lot of work. It builds lots of character. It does shape one as a person.
I imagine Markscastle has already built enough character.

I got the stand made for my main water tank and even got it in place. I just need to swich out the valve and give it a good flushing and it is ready. I still have the smaller 100 gal. tank that will be holding water for personal use to fix now. Got to get some water to put in the tanks ASAP ! No good having dry tanks once ther fixed. May make a trip to the creek using the 150 gal transfer tank and trailor tomarrow. I`ll use some of the water to flush out the tank and then hold the rest for the plants. If I have time I`ll do two runs and should have a little shy of 300 gal.

Went and got 150 gal plus all my jugs filled with clean well water.Had to clean out the 150 gal tank. I put the valve on the 300 gat tank and started to clean it out and found it also leaks.Oh hell`s bell, isn`t anything ever simple? I gess I`ll have to use some fiber glass on it as well as the 100 gal tank on the stand. Should work just fine. I`m running into to many snags and set backs though. Got to get my ladies planted ASAP! At least the ones for the bud grow, the seed run plants can go a little longer in pots until I can get caught up and transplant them into larger pots.

I`m rounding up all my old soil from last year ,about 10 yards of stuff called uncle john`s mix and 4 yards of 20/80. I will be getting a load of goat manure tonight maybe 2 yards. I was going to get a load of llama manure tomarrow after noon a load of Rabbit manure Saturday, and a load of Quail manure Sunday but not sure now because I hear there is a storm coming tonight through Saturday. They say wind ,showers and maybe even some snow! WTF! If it rains hard on the manures it will weigh to much to truck up the hill. This could put me off on my grow even longer. I won`t even be able to work on anything if it gets very wet outside until it drys up! Lord have mercy! This is hard enough on my old bones without delays. I just want my plants in the ground ASAP!

Got one truck load of goat manure and no sign of rain yet tonight. The guy with the llama manuer got called into work tomarrow so I`ll see if I can get another load of the goat manure tomarrow instead. If the weather holds I can get the llama manure on monday instead. Once I figure I have enough manure, green waist and worm castings I`ll work on something else.

It sprinkled and even had some BB sized hail this morning but the clouds kind of broke up mostly and I was able to get an other truck load of goat manure today. Got to get up early and meet up with the guy for some rabbit poo tomarrow. I`m getting there!

lol, what happened to just good ol' chicken chit..Thats a whole lot of kaka.

I have 1 of those on my driveway, but need a few in the woods. These are a good idea, mine alerts when deer are crossing the driveway so people should work as well. I need to look into the harbor freight on line because the 1 on my driveway was 150 - 200.00 with the option of adding more dingers at like 70.00 each. These will come in handy this fall LOL, then kick the door open and let off a burst. This is getting me fired up, was trying to think of some signal that they can't hear but I can and this will work like a dandy. May be some limping thieves in my vacinity, I've got a few boxes of 00 buck with rubber buckshot that I'd like to try out, take care and I hope all is well

Look into Bear repellent, it`s very strong pepper spray but sticky and water resistent. Stuff doesn`t come off ,take it from me! All you can do is keep a wet cloth over your face to keep the burning down for many hours( 5-6) with out the cloth your eyes will swell up closed! Better than hand cuffs! They aint going anywhere.LOL!

I tryed about every form of punishment in the book ,between my kids and foster kids, what worked the best was the `Long lecture` make sure you make good use of the hours of down time you get with the Bear spray! If nothing else it will give you lots of time to get things off your chest and time to think things out. Like I sayed ,they aren`t going anywhere soon! You can find Bear spray at Walmart in the camping section.

(for minors) I also would look for some duck tape and a solar fience charger. OK, it`s right nut possitive and left nut negitive ! Make a video and tell them if they F@*k up it`s going on you tube, thier face book page, ect. !!! You expect the trim job done right! All of it!

Rabbit turds are really really good fertilizer. You won't believe how much a couple of rabbits will supply it is really amazing. I'd estimate four or five rabbits will give you enough droppings to fertilize a huge outdooor plant every 3 months or so. If i was going to prepare for an outdoor grow I would get a dozen rabbits in the fall and collect all their droppings for 6 months until planting time and that would probably be enough for 6 big trees, to fertilize them until it's time to add flowering nutrients. Best thing about rabbit poo is that it doesn't smell too bad and you don't have to compost it very long at all compared to chicken poo or cow or horse manure.

Got two loads of rabbit manure by hand today. Had a tire fall apart on me on the freeway. Got a used on when the other back tire looked like it might be going out also so changed it to my spare tire. What a day! I`m getting to old for this stuff!

Not so busy in the hot of the day. I don`t know if this grow is going to work out or not. The problem is it`s a lot of work with the shovel and the spot I got is all rock. I`m trying to put in above ground planters but it`s taking so much soil! It costs a lot for soil but the gas prices on top of that to truck it up the hill is almost as much as the price of soil. To top that ,I was going to barrow a cement mixer to mix it but the guy who was going to let me barrow it can`t find it. How in the hell do you lose a cement mixer? My plants are starting to get to big for there containers again, don`t want em to get root bound! I can use some native soil along with last year`s soil and the mounds of manure. I also have some rock Phosphate, lime, shell dust and pot ash, but what I need is more earth worm castings and mulch. The best price on castings is $58 per yard and bark/mulch or Green waste is $25 a yard. I can get 1.5 yards per trip and the gas is about $30 per trip. I figure I need 3 yards of castings and 6-8 yards of mulch/green waste. I can add what ever the plants need besides that when feeding with tea. I really need to get the plants in the soil as soon as possible but the cash is low and my back is hurting me. Almost payday though!

I think I`ll work on fixing the water tanks building a better brush fience and the stuble on the road to the creek until pay day and see just where I`m at. Wish I could sell my Honda Shadow right about now. Wouldn`t help my back but it would help my pocket book out. It`s a nice bike but I can`t use a street bike out here. I could use the 50 mpg it gets though!

keep on keepin on amigo, make it work native soil or not, you can do it peace

Hell I was in a bad mood because I called about the generator and they said there were 80 orders ahead of mine. I`ve been using the truck and inverter to charge up the lap top and phone for two weeks already. No running water,no vacume,no micro wave, no lights(except led ) ,no AC! I`m tired of jugs of water in the shower and kitchen! Hardly any room in there to take a sponge bath! About ready to kick the cat!
