$5 per gallon seems high, but Americans have it pretty cheap. I Just paid $150 to fill a 16 gallon tank in Germany. Twice what I pay in CO on the regular Mark, your journey detailed in this thread is a delight to witness, and very educational. Thanks...

i've never been over seas but i've heard fuel is way more expensive over there, i'm curious is there more mass/public transit over there or do people just live close to work and services?

Public transit is very comprehensive, and also the structure of these cities is not like the sprawling suberbs of the US. But it depends on the city of course. Munich has a great metro system, plus buses and trains. Paris, London and the other rather wealthy cities have great metro coverage as well. It seems to me that public transit is relative to population and property density. New York's is a great model of the European transit system, while Los Angeles is more representative of American transit priorities ($ over efficiency). The history of American Transit development is actually pretty fascinating, and also quite infuriating.

Thanks GTD ! I got an other 4 yards of saw dust and Horse manure as well as a small amount of castings given to me by a friend up here today, just have to go and get it. GTD want to come up and play with my cement mixer just let me know. I got lots of mixing to be doing! I`m not looking forward to using the Quiel manure, it smells like something dead!!! It`s also very hot in nitrogen so it will go a long ways.
