First thing you need to do is get your license from Health Canada.

This means you will need to speak to your doctor and have him/her sign your forms.

If you qualify under Category 1 (AIDS, HIV, MS, IBS or Cancer) you ONLY need your GP's signature on the forms.

If you qualify under Category 2 (Any other medical disorder) you will need to consult with a medical specialist and still have your GP sign the forms.

Once you have done that you need to send in your forms with 2 notarized pictures so you can get your card. Your doc can sign the photos to notarize them.

After that all you need are some clones, lights and a good place to grow. You can choose to grow 1. Outdoor only, 2. Indoor and outdoor or 3. indoor only.

Let me know if you need help getting the forms or some medical research on a specific medical condition. I have a ton of article and medical references to help convince any GP about the safety and benefits mf med mj.

Peace,
Jimmy

Sorry to bump an old thread.....

Re:Cannabishop...

My question: My dad has recently started having more frequent seizures(a couple 15 years ago and 4-5 in the past year), he also suffers from deteriorated vertebre aswell with many other ailments such as reacurring stomach pains and head aches/migains. I don't believe he's clasified as epileptic so I don't think he can fill out form 1.... Do you think he has enough to fill out form b1 or will he have to go find a specialist? Thanks for any help, My dad and I are just not that sure how cooperative his Dr. is gonna be let alone a specialist if he has to go see one.

so basically its about convincing a person? also my mother has glaucoma. dont know if i spelled that right. which is a disease that makes you blind. marijuana has been proven to lower her eye pressure dramaticly which slows it down. you think thatll be enough to get a card?

Keep Trying

we have dozens of med patients that come into our hydro store and there conditions all vary from the very serious to the questionable. It all boils down IMO to the individual doctor and wether you can convince them that cannabis will benefit your particular condition. When you go in be well educated with info to argue your case and if it is a dead end ask to be referred to a specialist and try your case with them. important thing is not to give up, some of our patients spent years jumping thru hoops with several different doctors and specialists before finding the one that was willing to listen and help. In our area at least it seems for some reason that the rural doctors are much more willing to sign then the ones in the city. Good Luck
