Sounds good but dont change anything until after week 3 brotherafternoon all
i am about to enter flowering on my second run . i am using coco , 5 gallon pots , with mega crop 2 part ( latest version )
for veg i kept the A and B parts pretty equal , used silica , epsom salts , fulvic acid
the greenleaf calculator says i should be a little under on part B for flowering than part A ( about 9% less )
so my feed will be for flowering
RO water topped up with tap water to 0.2 EC
0.1-0.2 EC calmag ( should i use at every feed ? if not , how do i know when to use it , i will add more MC if i don't use it )
MC A and B 0.9ish EC
sweet candy 0.1/0.2 EC ( should i use at every feed or just once a week or not at all ? , again i will use more MC when/if i don't use it )
fulvic acid
epsom salts at 1gram to 1 gallon .
i aim for an EC of 1.6 , if it's too high i top up with RO water , then PH to 5.9
my reservoir is about 28 gallons , i usually have to add about 35 ish grams of MC A and 35grams of MC B to get to 1.6 after everything else is added ( in the order above ) . i did this all the way through my last grow and kept it around 1.6 , when i went over this i got leaf burn and a few problems on the leaves . maybe i added too much calmag or something . the greenleaf calculator says i should be adding 137g A and 126g B , which to me is way to much .
should i just stick to the EC i am aiming for all the way through or should i raise it gradually . i know some people go by grams per gallon and keep raising it each week
i didn't add a PK boost last time , the plants turned out nice but the drying was not up to par as my AC broke and i think it dried too fast
i know some people taper off the A and B part but i don't know when to do this .
i appreciate any advice , i am trying to understand what is needed and when but i am not quite there yet , @Aqua Man helped me last time , what do you think , should i stick with this ?
Thank you mate . Can I tag you after week 3 please for some advice , would that be ok ?Sounds good but dont change anything until after week 3 brother
Absolutely, if i miss it just DM meThank you mate . Can I tag you after week 3 please for some advice , would that be ok ?
thanks very much @Aqua ManAbsolutely, if i miss it just DM me
I love mega crop, I don’t add any extra calmag to mine but if it worked well last time I would just try and repeat. I tend to agree with you that the mega crop feed schedule seems a bit high and I’m always running lower than they recommend. I start tapering off my nutrients around week 8 and slowly come down trying to get my EC to .5 by the time I’m ready to harvest.afternoon all

Yup that sounds good. With the higher K if you notice them getting a bit light just up the EC by 0.2 thats just because as the ratios change you will have leas nitrogen. So to compensate you up the ppm.i am still using epsom salts at 1gram to 1 gallon
i see , many thanks.Yup that sounds good. With the higher K if you notice them getting a bit light just up the EC by 0.2 thats just because as the ratios change you will have leas nitrogen. So to compensate you up the ppm.
how much bud candy are you adding now? if your at half dose you can cut the mag sulphate as bud candy is potassium sulphate. But if you atop the bud candy start the mag sulphate again
Yeah the pains of dialling things in. Ut your going about it right… its better to start to low and work up. If you do it the other way it’s usually more damaging and takes longer to dial in"With the higher K if you notice them getting a bit light just up the EC by 0.2"
is that upping the EC by 0.2 by using mega crop A and B ?
i think on the last grow i was adding about 36g of each for my reservoir but now i am adding about 30grams of A and 27grams of B , so i might have to add more , i was just trying to avoid the tip burn i got last time
Nope imo at this stage P wont help any but K demand will keep going up. Personally i feel that P is important through veg and just before flower until about week 3. You have the K boost in bud candy so you should be goodthanks very much for your help @Aqua Man
will i need to add monopotassium phosphate at weeks 4-6 for a PK boost or do we see how they look at that point ?
