Left the 2 northern lights seeds soaking longer than usual. Planted them in 1 litre pots. Made a hole in the centre of the soil with an Allen key so the roots went straight down without kinking them. Hope they get off to a good start.
My soil was miracle grow and has done 2/3 grows. I never flushed it out with water just watered the plants every few days when needed, have read about salt build up.
Have 2 plants to harvest in 3 weeks then I will take the pots out to the yard and flush them out and put the soil in 2 x 7 gallon fabric pots for the NL seedlings.
The NL girls will be topped when ready. Another first.

This next grow will be bio. I plan to use 1/10 dilute urine for veg then for flower banana tea as well.

I'll find something else with NPK because I like playing in my dirt. No disrespect to anyone using this method just saying. This morning I had a week flow in one of my drain lines and gave it a little help by blowing through and got a little liquid in mouth and I'm sure it's not good stuff but it definitely wasn't urine.

When it leaves your body it's sterile. Nothing to worry about. If I was vegetarian another waste product would be considered.
In the future I would like to grow more plants in a sustainable fashion.
In Asia this is normal for weed growers, I've tried some nice bud in Thailand years ago.

White pistils all gone orange. Trichs clear some cloudy, none orange yet but it can happen quickly. Will be checking every few days. Buds not big could be size of the pot, will use 7 gallon ones next time instead of 3 gallon. Looking forward to seeing how these smoke.

2 Northern Lights seedlings. At the moment they are on 12/12 in the flowering cupboard. The 2 melonade runtz girls will be harvested next week I think. Then switch to 16/8. These are 2 weeks old. Hope it doesn't hold them back.

I put 2 seeds soaking in a cup of water on 1 November. Sprouted after 2 days then put into 1 litre pots. The lamp is a 100w led I've been using for 12 months. Soil is miracle grow, been used for 2 auto grows in the last year. For feed I'm using miracle grow liquid concentrate for veg then switching to tomato feed with high potassium for the flowers.
I repotted them into 3 gallon buckets I've been using the last year since I started indoors.
I have learnt a lot about indoor growing the last year but always forget something. I have some new 7 gallon fabric pots but left it too late to use them. Will do for next grow.
My first time with photos indoors, looking for better quality bud and bigger yield. For my own use so still looking at other strains.
The bondage is LST. Tying the 2 girls down, during stretch I tied down the top of the main stalks.

I was away for a week, thought I would be harvesting but trichs not showing any orange yet. They were switched to 12/12 on about 15 Dec. 10 weeks ago. Hopefully another week.
I'm a little worried about the 2 NL seedlings. Seeds put in water about 1 February, then put in pots in the grow room. Don't want them to go into flower yet. I was hoping to veg them up to at least 18 inches.

The 2 seedlings have started to flower. I thought I would get away with it. Researched revegging but it takes a long time, so they will be a 12/12 from seed grow. I put 2 other seeds in a cup of water yesterday to join them.
I will be going away in July for maybe 2 months so need everything finished by then.
After the summer will do a traditional grow.
Some good news I picked a bud off one of the melonade runtz plants and let it dry in the grow room for a few days. Had 3 roll ups yesterday from it, very nice and long lasting feel. Will be lovely when dried and cured. Maybe another week till harvest. Trichs cloudy but very few turning orange.
The 2 seeds I put soaking are purple bud. I tried 6 of these before, all dead, but let's see. Still have 2 more to put in the water if these 2 are dead. If they are no good no point keeping them. If they don't open i will put 2 Holland's hope seeds soaking, these were from an outdoor grow in 2024. Not expecting much bud from this 12/12 bud will be first time smoking North lights.
This run will be natural feed. 1/10 urine to water. Popular in Asia.

They are in 1 litre pots, will go into 13 litre buckets when others harvested in a weeks time.

I am thinking of leaving the grow room on 12/12 but start a veg place in my wardrobe for one plant plus a seedling. So they go in to the grow room at 6-8 weeks. 2 plants is enough in the grow room, I'll be switching to 7 gal cloth pots after the summer.

The buds from the 2 melonade runtz plants dried and curing. Got slightly under 4oz. The smoke is very nice, in a month should be excellent. Won't be growing that strain again indoors, far too smelly.
