Thanx Baked. I'm just trying to keep those stems green. They usually have purple striping by now. I figured adding more P and micro nute's to the mix would most likely fix that issue. Ya the SMH....it's a killer Sour Diesel heavy pheno of SSSDH x Mean Martian Green. There a couple pics of the SSSDH at the top of this page and the pic of the male MMG is somewhere on the thread.. MMG is (Great White Shark x Jamacian Lambs Bread) x G13 Haze). Very interesting terpine profile on her....sweet if you smell a bud, but when touched, a super sour funk. The plant grows stocky as hell, but has perfect spacing for buds...good light penetration through the canopy.

The DVKs are dank, but I'm worried about herming. All this negative talk about Cali Connection on the board, ya know? I've had good luck with his crosses so far. Anyway, both phenos are nice, #1 being stankass and skimpy, #2 w/ a better yield but not a stanky. Both just as frosty. Here's the #2:

OH OK....I read the SMH before...you know how it is...when you get to reading and reading...sometime you see Abreviations...and have a brain fart at the same time....lol...all while smoking a bowl...lol.

Why you worried about the Cali Connect stuff? Haven't seen any bad talk in some time...lol. I have quite a few Cali Connect gals...that run great...and are well liked. I always thought there were more issues in the Alien lines from Cali Connect...I personally didn't care for any of the Alien Lines and had hella herm issues in my circle on the Alien crosses. Quite a few breeders have used males out of his stuff also. I think either you were lucky and found something or you didn't...I feel as tho I take that chance no matter who's gear I am running...

Don't pay attention to haters Bro! Keep doing your thing...and being honest...you have High expectations for yourself...I see it in your posts. Stay true to yourself...you know them strains...and I don't believe you would overlook things.

Much Respect!

Thanks for kind words and.... Yes I know how it is. :) My memory is the worst!

We've all read the "Swerve Releasing The Aliens" thread. The feeling I get is bashing on Swerve's breeding practices as well as his attitude, and drawing attention to Obs possibly doing a drop soon with real Alien crosses. Everyone is entitled to their opinions about different breeders, but I felt like no one has anything good to say about Swerve. I've grown Chem Valley Kush, Deadhead OG, And Sour OG without any problems. I don't care people are hating on Swerve, but I am concerned so many farmers do, because it always about him releasing shit that herms..

Respect Brother!

On another note...Tai Chi f2 male finally dropped some pollen. It took two weeks longer to drop pollen, than the GKbx1. I hit the DD, AOG, and TCf2.

Dude! Everything is a herm until proven to me differently...lol! Everyones concerns should be whether your gear will herm or not...not Swerve's. Like I said before plenty of breeder's used his gear as a stepping stone...

I have grown out...Tahoe OG, Blackwater, Deadhead, Corleone, and the Caeser...all without issues. I know a well known grower found a cut of Corleone they held for sometime...the same cut I grew...without issues. I still hold my Tahoe OG, Blackwater and Deadhead cuts. They are still in rotation and enjoyed. Feedback is the best representation...

Hell I still hold some other stuff from them...SFV IBL...Chemdog #4 OG...and the Boss Hog freebies they be kicking out...

Respect!

On another note...that Tai Chi gal you have shown is outstanding looking...

@antikush- Thanx. Welcome to the Farm.

@BakedReality - A breeder from Denver I know did some crosses with Corleone Kush..... 1 w/ Choco Chunk and another w/ pre 98 Bubba. I wish I didn't have so many things working...I'd love to drop some of those beans. TaiChif2 is a cross that will have some offspring that throw nanners. Out of the 4 "f1s" grown, 3 were solid keepers and 2 threw some nanners around week 8 bud. Since I didn't find half done two week old seeds in the buds, I'd say they were duds, not that I'm concluding future generations will be the same way. It will be a challenge to breed that trait out but it's so worth trying. Nothing I've created tastes better, IMO....heavy sour skunk, undertones of sweet blueberry.

Finished pollinating the TC today.....did another 2 lower branches. Detroit Diesel impresses me more and more and I will keep her forever!!! It's definitely the closest thing to the Original Diesel I remember buying at the Wetlands in NYC, Grateful Dead nights............ahhhh the good old days!! Definitely nothing sour about it.

GKbx1 is ridiculous today...I hope the buds don't rot. So indica dominant. She has a pine skunk garlic smell, but not rotten.....more zesty fresh, with no citrus. Rotten funk and sweet citrus have been the dominant flavors in the GK phenos I've grown out previously, as well as in the Garlic Breath females. These might end up there in another week or three..

1 - 2 mm of the leaf tips on all plants showing a little burn....no more feeding this week and no more AO grow.

The Aspen OG is a nice yielding OG hybrid but I think the smell is a little too rotten feet smelling for my liking....maybe when it's cured up, it will taste good..

SMH is a sativa bomb. Still my favorite because of the unique terpene profile and bud formations. There are only a few bud sites on each branch, but the buds are chunkin' out with long hairs and a slight but unmistakable Haze influence....IMO.

Make sure you post up a few pics when they're running! Gonna use her in the Sour Martian Haze run, hitting her with a male. The flavors will go well together. DD is taking forever to lay down some chunk, but the budding sites are everywhere. Yield will be huge for a 5gal, 3 week veg from clone, if she fills out. Have you grown out my Sour C cut yet....the one Dispo holds??

HB and JAWS are something, no? Banging out killer crosses nonstop!! I work a little slower and tend to obsess over certain crosses I'm working on.. 1/2 the plants out there throw nanners after week 8 or 9....I wouldn't call these plants hermaphrodites.. I have a fem'd Sour Cream seed from DNA that hasn't thrown a nanner in 5 years, but most fem'd seeds I've grown have always started throwing week 8ish.. If I'm not mistaken, this dominant trait is a natural mechanism most landrace strains have. Good thing for me, I don't plan on selling my seeds. ;) However, it doesn't mean I want to give someone a strain that has the potential to ruin gardens. As I've learned in the past, when money is involved, there is always one party who isn't satisfied. It's much easier to trade or give beans away to friends and not deal with the bullshizzz. I know people say "find what you love and make it your job".......but charity has some serious payoffs s well.

Im not clear on the interpetation of natural mechanism, mtn.
hermaphrodism in landrace cannabis is a evolved genetic expression in response to adverse environmental stresses which endanger the survival of the plant.

You spelled it out as clear as day. Natural mechanism to ensure the survival of the plant....

As far as CC goes...most breeders along with CC sells plants with herm traits.....no one cares. Difference is no one else admits it....

No feeding today. Plants are green, buds are staring to frost up nicely, I wish it was week 10... Looks like the Tai Chi will be a 10 -12 week bud. DD doesn't want to bud yet..

Aspen OG, day 35, 3gal smart pot. The buds smell like moth balls.....and not in a pleasant way. She's a beautiful plant, but it's time to get rid of her..

Death Valley Kush #2, day 36, 7gal smart pot. She's picking up steam..medium sized buds are plentiful, very dense and have a heavy Chemdog #4 stank, but not as much OG as her sister. Maybe has some commercial value??

Tai Chi f2, day 36, 7gal smart pot. This plant is budding so slowly, but it's drenched in resin. Sour blueberry stank. F1s were big yielding, one pheno took 13 weeks to finish....she started off slow like this one. So skimpy, compared to my other crosses..

Day 36 Feeding, per 1gal:
2ml Canna PK 13/14
3ml AO Bud
1/2ml Black Strap
5 drops Superthrive

PPM's: 400

Last feeding of AO Grow should be day 21. All plants showed a slight Nitrogen toxicity after day 28 feeding.

Some pretty good news today... My buddy called me and told me his partners signed the paperwork for the MMCs/recreationals. If things continue to work out, I will be heading to get my key.....for the 2nd time. I believe I will be growing and breeding for the Springs store. This group also has a MIP license so lots of things are possible, as far as edibles and extracts. As with all of these jobs, this one sounds too good to be true. Fingers crossed!!

Hell yeah that tai chi looks awesome. Major resin action!

My aspens are finally putting off a more typical OG aroma of lemon zest, but the mothball/feet odor persists. Interesting plant for sure.

Your blue dream cut is making my house smell awesome like a bakery, but the aspen and mazar makes it smell like that bakery is in the airport in Budapest, or Barcelona, or another European city where deodorant is not a la mode.

Good luck with the new opportunity! Hope it works out well for you buddy.
