As a recovering former techie and data/detail slut-whore, this thread is about to push me off the wagon lol
Rockin and rollin now, we’ll see how she runs gunna flip to flower!
Mike,

So far, and I know it hasn't been long, but what's your take overall on the setup and operation? Like, love, or so-so?
honestly it’s kinda fun to learn about it all lol, I do like the equipment and the variety, can pretty much measure anything, I’ve been likening all the soil sensors, same as my 30 gallon pots, really makes caring for living soil easier, but still figuring it out really, thinking I may change up some of the wiring, I think I can simplify it, so I’ll probably look at that on Friday the features on the controller like sunrise sunset are nice, so far though, my favorite has been the power strip, being able to control each outlet remotely is awesome

Good to hear! For now, I'll vicariously through your updates before I get crazy with the cheese whiz. 😃 The sunrise/sunset feature and the outlet control are also the two things that's enticing to me.

That’s the feature I thought was the coolest, I may have gone slightly overboard but I just kept goin till I had it all lol the smart controller was actually the last item I got, I’ve been working so much I haven’t really played with any of it to see how the outlets works besides manual mode lol, I can set each outlet for different factors once I figure it all out lol

Flipped the tent a few days ago, she’s looking great, she’s filled the 3x3 up nice now. Been such a easy grow so far, been keeping with the hands off approach and just controlling with the smart controller and it’s been really fun, a lot of the time I just keep the door rolled up and keep it as a house plant during lights on

Drops the PPFD by about 70 when door is open

What’s up folks! The full smart co trol tent is really showin out now! Kahuna 2 is doing awesome in here, just should be on her last week of stretch now, cover crop did awesome, gunna let it roll through flower

She’s loving the environment, and seems to love the sunrise / sunset modes, still toying with it, wanna get deeper into controlling the exhaust with the outlet options but it’s been on point t running at 20% consistently and controlling the environment nicely

Just so you’re aware, if you ever grow a bad plant I’m going to screenshot it and post it around all major holidays 🤣
I’ll take the complement 🤪🤣🤣🤣 I try but I ignore these girls soooo much, I feel negligent haha, the living soil and the whole system as a whole make it where i just don’t feel the need to check the tent haha, I almost forget I have it running 😂

I’m dead ass the best way to Grow a plant is to stop babying the fucker, give it what it needs and close the door, people wayyyy overdo it, they are simple plants, if you’re not running commercial 100% controlled environments most shit does not apply to your grow and is a marketing gimmick. Certian things make sense and others are blatant lies or sales tactics the average consumer dosent catch, organics simplified that thinking for me even more, especially seeing the results

People say organics in small pots won’t work, these plants are all the same age, in fact the small mothers in the 1 gallons in the 2x4 are the mothers of these plants in flower in the 4x8 and the 4x4x I’ve been water only and a few amendments once every 3-4 weeks how’s that not work?

Honestly, organic or synthetic, ya just gotta feed em and water em when they need it. If that's on point, the pot size isn't that critical. You just have a much smaller window of missing the next water/feed.

Hey there, I'm running the GGS AC5 app controlled and I have issues with accurate readings on soil probe. I'm running rockwool which I believe is why I've had issues, how did you establish that WC was correct? I've been weighing cubes and triming the sensor to match my weights and relocating probe to find accurate readings. One of the more fun parts of the kit, and I know your running soil, but how did you verify measurements?

I’ve noticed a wide range of variance between brands, I kinda find a happy point in the plant appearance and aim for that through the grow, my ecowitts are all identically positioned in the 30 gallon pots

I can pull a ecoWitt shallow to put in and compare but I’ll have to cut a slit in my pot to use it, (not a problem) when I get time I can check it

I know it responds to watering I don’t check EC but when I water I see my EC rise (more so when I water with build a bloom) my moisture will jump to 60-67% then slowly settle back in the 40’s once it absorbs fully, then I aim to re water around 27%

Ion my ecowitts I run on average 50% is my goal, watering brings em to 65% at 2 gallons per pot, in they settle to around 50-53x when they drop to 40-47 I re water (24-36 hours) but they vary about 2-3% each between the 3 setups no matter how much I try to balance them, so similar through other brands to have variance

I was having a problem with sensors cutting out once I had ALL of them installed but the 2.9 firmware stopped that

She’s rockin though! Starting into week 3? I’ll have to check exact days night be Sunday she hits 3

Yep 100%, im still practicing but the kahuna and Frostette mothers are about 3.5 months old now they were put in those pots the same time the 30 gallon pots were put into 1 gallon pots are free they all rooted. Only difference is I moved some to the 30 gallon pots, others just stayed in the 1 gallon pots they are all the same age

The kahuna 2 mother in this run was moved from the 1 gallon to this 12 gallon and boom, full 3x3 in 3 weeks veg lol

All of these plants are identical age, just held in the 1 gallons until I’m ready to run em

And we continue!

Stretch is coming up to an end, defol up next, really liking the whole setup so far, love seeing the PPFD as well,

Gotta say the look of the tent in the corner I really like, so much nicer than having a black tent in the corner this fits in so much nicer, you don’t even really notice it I’ve had people walk right by it to see the tents lol

She seems to be loving the SE3000 again, I ran Kahuna 2 under this light last run in the 4x4 and it flowered the whole tent out, running 840ppfd atm at 77% at about 18” right now, will ramp it up to 85-90 over the next 2 weeks and see how she handles 950ish but so far she not shying away at all!
