Here’s what happened tonight.

Supercropped Toxic Blue grew right back up and managed to still get 2” taller overnight.

Its a jungle again.

Citral Pow 33 x Greenbud (accidental cross)

Citral Pow 33

Pow 33

Side shot showing 2’ depth of buds in canopy. Good depth for the 600’s.

Black Widow x Blue Lemon Thai drying.

My drying closet is inside the flower room to share carbon filtration. It smells real nice in there tonight. :-)

Harvested the foxtail haze plant looking pheno BLT 4 tonight.

Smells like pepper and fuel. Maybe some fruit will come through from the background with time. Haze leaning phenos take the longest time to cure into smooth smoke in my experience. But have the best flavor and maybe high when they do. Funny the market wants dense little balls for buds. The connisour shit is definitely old school sativa. At least in my opinion. Always a place for melty couch lock weed too but i like weed to be fun.

Shame I tapered her off nutes too soon. The “burned leaves” are advanced potasium deficiency. Well just plain deficient. This is why I dont automatically “flush” or give water for weeks at the end. She did not reach her potential.

Shes still pretty bad ass though and i have plenty more tries going. :)

That's a nice looking piece, you say you tapered it off the nutrients too soon. when did you start that & when should you have started that? AAAAAAnd should I do that for my outdoor plants also?

P.S. You're good at this eh?

She is from seed. Most of them are. I never know exactly what I will get.

They are sativa leaning flowers. Thats the bud structure. These hybrids have strong leaning classic highs too. Sometimes a little trippy. The genetics on the pow are from the old woodhorse seeds in cali and ch9 from the 90’s.

Many popular hybrids today are bred to lean indica with tight flowers and in my opinion very strong but flat effects. Not like the fun weed i enjoyed when I was young.

Well thank you. I studied a long time and have worked at it plant by plant like this for almost 5 years every day now. But compared to some growers around here I have very limited experience.

I dont know how new seed plants are going to take nutrients and the plants are all different stages of growth so once the potting soil in the final pot has been deleted of nutrients I start them at a low 5ml/gallon of Pure Blend Pro Grow and taper up each watering. About every 2-3 days for mature plants. Each plant gets its own gallon of what I feel it will need each time. Raising concentration usually 2.5- 5ml each watering. Usually max out around 12.5-17.5ml and only a few times before cutting back down. Once flowers are set and start ripening I try to taper off the nutes back down but if I see too much yellowing or potassium deficiency I might go back up a couple times.

Of course when i get it wrong I chase my tail like anyone and can both over and underfertilize. So I try to err on the side of under. Little yellow much better than too green and of course way better than burnt.

But in testing known cuttings the medium green plant fed lightly to the end always had more yield and potency flavor and smell than the faded version.

So I try hard to always give what they need every time. When i screw up and give too much they get fresh water only and i back off and try again.

Pain in the ass frustrating stuff! I love it. :-)

Thanks for your response, I guess I will try a similar approach this season. I do understand the frustration, I had a failed season last year, if I had known about this site then I may have been able to save them. Buds were not finished at all, resin was poor, buds were light & airy with no substance to them at all. I believe it was a nutrient problem late in growing, perhaps too much or not enough. This season I intend on paying more attention to what's going on & hopefully avoid a crappy harvest.

I may call on you for your wisdom . . .

Thanks again.

DTG.

I take too many pics. :)

Plants spread out for inspection and water/feed

BLT 5 acclimated to the 600’s and 12/12 right away.

Veg tent

Pow 33 in final pot.

Plushberry

A little too much light on the clones but growing new leaves now instead of eating their own.

Tried to get some pics of this blossoming stretching branching almost out of control Citral x Pow 33.

Its funny I originally went with 3 gallon pots to limit the size of the plants to fit my space and low ceiling. Its not working very well. Lol.

And the standard group shot.

The wild looking plant in front is the accidentally crossed Citral pow x greenbud. She has had stressy edge up leaves since sprout and was problematic and stunted for a while.

But seems to have worked out her issues. She just a freak!

North some and near lake michigan.

I moved here with a local girl I met when I was out west and ended up buying a house in her home town.
