Mimed’s Perpetual Thread

That’s a question I’ve asked every kid that ever played football for me. I would tell them if your hurt I don’t need to know! If your injured we will get ya fixed! Lmao I actually got the phrase from the hockey guys on letterkenny. A Canadian tv show.

That's if you dont count income tax. I read in macleans a while ago the average Canadian pays something like 43% of every dollar earned back to the govt through one tax or another. So yeah I meant "free" healthcare.

Don't forget that this is Canada, there will be 15% tax added to that 43% tax. Now lets compare the price of a dozen beer here in Canada to the USA. Here in Nova Scotia its close to $30 a dozen for Budweiser. How much is it where you live?

Holy Shit. About $9.99-$11.99. But we drink Rocky Mountain Soda Pop (Coors). Tax about 6.4%. God Damn you paying rec weed tax on everyday things. No wonder you all grow so much weed :D

I pay $18.75 + for a 25 pack of cigarettes and $45-47 for a 24 pack of MGD. The beer is before the 13% tax so add another $6

I remember buying a dozen beer and pack of smokes for $20 back in the 90's... Around here it's about $16 for a 20 pack of smokes and $20-$30 for a dozen beer. We still have a black market dispensary that sells untaxed pot somehow though lol.

There was a piece in the news just yesterday about a hard luck story of a guy that had his rent increased in Toronto from $5700/ month to $7700. He said he might have to move out of TO because he can no longer afford it. Wholly shit he could afford $5700 per month? $68000/ year. wtf is everyone in TO living on Doctor or Lawyer wages? Canada is expensive but that shocked me.

Damn fine!

About the tax thing. I pay close to a grand every two weeks just in income tax. Then there is gst and pst, carbon taxes, ect...

All in all I lose about 50% of my income taxes.

Thanks man. I did poorly while injured. Just trying getting things back in order. Germinating a Black Widow x Blue Lemon Thai now to join the party.
