That really looks like root to me. Bugs, temps or damage. I don't get that over watered feeling it's just not uniform enough over the whole plant. It's not bad just off a bit I would kinda lean to temps. Stuff a thermometer in there maybe? Or check the temp on the bottom with an IR temp gun?Not lately. Still havent figured out why i am locking out phosphorous and calcium or mag around week 4.

Climbs right up the fan leaves. Typical cold roots or overwatering but neither should be a problem at this point.
Im going for new soil this afternoon but if it was the soil i would see deficiencies in veg at some point I would think.
Like they say. Happens to all of us. I am frustrated and want to know what I am doing wrong.
I always add some extra lime to my Ocean Forrest along with added perlite. Have for the last 5 years. Not lately. Still havent figured out why i am locking out phosphorous and calcium or mag around week 4.

Yes , but you can grow large plants in 3 gallons also.i answer that, they will keep growing and filling the pot, then you will have a monster of a plant, when i did it in 5 gal bucket, plants got 7ft tall and i was scrambling to keep out of my exhaust fans and lights, with a ton of bending and tieing i did have a great harvest though
im thinking enzymes in some already great soil be a good addition,i grind steel oats and barley top scratch it,then ever feed add a little coconut water to help compaction, all 3 lead to uh humm goodThat really looks like root to me. Just thinking out loud brother
it can but when you dont wont um tall not such a good thing hahahahah,i had a 7x7x7 old bath room needing remoldled that damn thing was so over grown i had to crawl in the bitch nija style just to water and tie there ass down,no shit had a little path threw the middle and when i harvest all i did was start cutting strings from the ceiling ,they all fell over and took one bucket at a time out,as i did cut crap load of string from buds and buckets hahahahYes , but you can grow large plants in 3 gallons also.View attachment 921088View attachment 921088

Also I still have some gnats. But only a couple flyers here and there. Using Microbe Lift again after a few week break.
Aaaarrgggggggg!
What was the reading from your slurry test?

Im not saying it IS root zone temps but @MIMedGrower sorry for using your thread to say this.
One of you soil growers need to pick up the ball on root zone temps.
I have found first hand a significant difference in vigor with root zone temps of 71-74f over the 65-68f in hydro. We know cold root zone at a point slows growth and we start seeing deficiencies. What soil growers are not optimizing is how do you get the most out of root temps. Now I mean this withing reason its not practical to put heat mats under every plant but there has to be an economic way somehow to test this. Maybe like the heated flooring to heat rooms with radiant heat instead of heating air?
Have you closely inspected those fliers to make sure they arent winged RA's? They look almost identical with slight differences. It would account for the phantom deficiencies. Maybe just something to look into.
These where grown with 400 ppm well water with 280 ppm of that as CaCo3. I still have pots so caked up with the calcium carbonate I don't use anymore. When I did that before my ph kept rising. I figure its because i use well water. Dont need more calcium.
In fact too much calcium can cause my problem?

Also grown in a old pole barn with little regards to the environment.
Are you cutting the OF with anything? So what do you suggest? I really have not changed anything. Even when the gnats were at their worst i was getting my best yields ever.
I will definitely re inspect some roots. I have been thinking this for a while. But have not found evidence.
I will pull a plant up some and use my scope again.
I don't believe the calcium in the water will effect the plants, molecules are too large from what I've read. Other than raise the PPM's.When I did that before my ph kept rising. I figure its because i use well water. Dont need more calcium.

agree I started using dunks and bits when I got thrips and I am seeing very few of anything anymore on my yellow stickiesHave you closely inspected those fliers to make sure they arent winged RA's?
