vitality + is a mite spray for foliage, but says to spray the substrate to kill eggs is 100% organic and can be used up to harvest. ive had great results half way through flower last time saved me. P.S its one that stops the mite breathing:character0110:

Ive been using the same stuff for 2 years now and it kills mites 100% no fucking around. :banana1sv6:

Man Jah, for real. I'm gonna try it. I am at the end of my rope with these lil bastards.

Is there a good online source for this stuff?

Alright I have the soil mites in my flowering room, im sure they are everyone else too. But the plants look fine. Also no idea how long they have been here.

u know , when i yhink abut how alot of people are getting these new pests & how they werent around that much in the past.. i got 2 thinkin about how there r dispenseries that r getting cuts w/ bugs & then dispersing them......not that they mean to.......but its so easy to pass problems to the next grower....

when i was up in norcal a few years ago i was amazed by the powder mildew problem & then when the purps was the hot strain it made it way down hre along w. the traainwreck/...ect.....i never saw powder milddew 10 years ago....& all the new pests are just a byproduct of all the swapping & clones on the market.....

oh well thats all part of the fun....

Yep, their just like STD's, and the fucked up thing is that most people wont even tell you that their gardens infected or even know what to look out for if outbreak occurs. They'll just give you the clones with the gonaherpasiphiliaids or the powderythripmitaphids! Hell, I know some people if they know u got a good thing going they'll give u a PM infected clone just to wipe u out and cut down competition. It's a dirty game ya'll!

MadFarmer, have you even read this thread?
It's about MITES not aphids.
The picture I posted is a soil mite. It has eight legs. Lives in the medium. Fucks up plants bad.
It is not a root aphid.
I did figure out how to kill it without any pesticides.

Bro, ur diagnosing a problem before u even know what it is. Your soil mites and Root Aphids pretty much look the same and have the same intention, (to eat your roots and crap all over them and fuck them up) I appreciate your learning curve and your willingness to help diagnose and solve a problem but if he's growing hydro in those crutons odds are their Aphids G.

Bubbakushkid, if you bring in a couple of these bugs in a zip lock bag to your hydro store I'm banking they say root aphids and recommend predatory nematodes. I've never heard of what Cripled1 above is using or has used, but the nematodes are designed for your medium that will wipe out your root aphids or mites. Keep me posted~

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?
LOOK, THIS IS A SOIL MITE, IT HAS 8 LEGS.

THIS IS HYPOASPIS, ALSO A MITE, IT ALSO HAS 8 LEGS.
IT LIKES TO HUNT DOWN AND EAT THE SOIL MITE.
NEITHER ONE OF THEM LOOKS ANYTHING LIKE AN APHID.

Ya, but you're missing the point... It sounds to me like BubbaKush didn't know if they were Aphids, Mites, or Thrips. I've had them all and soil mites are very similar looking to root Aphids. You should know this and are obviously making a big deal out of nothing. Relax bro,

Here's some photos of some Rooot Aphids, there's no way you can tell me they're not very similar in appearance... What do u think BubbaKushKid, what do u think u had?

I've never used it, what did your hydro store say? For my systemic insecticide it was very little, only 1.5 ml's per gal. first treatment. 2 weeks later 2 ml's per gal.

Here's what I used, knocked them out pretty quick!

hey whats the ingredient in that ? madfarmer1620??
i think in regards to the question u asked .....i probly had the aphids cuz i did see some winged adults in the grow...
& they look like they 1 of the pests i had? maybe the mites were actuly eating the aphids??
or i probly had mites & aphids doing damage to the roots at the sames time..
either way i think i got rid of em..
i sprayed the spinosad this evning & in just a few hours the few thrips i saw were allready nonresponsive??
i also sprayed some spinosad on the surfaces of the rockwool w/ the hopes that any natlarve in there will eat either fungas/algea/or roots or whatever they eat that has been sprayed ..cuz they gota eat it to work i think .. or if not then they should die in aday or so from contact w/ the spinosad..
i must say ...the plants do respond well to that shit.. its like i hit em w/ foliotech or somethin..

is spinosad effective against nat larve??

thatnx 4 the input guys....i appreciate it

I know this stuff kills Fungus gnat larve and pretty much everything except the dreaded spidermite! It actually goes systemic so even if you have fungus gnats in your garden and a gnat lands on one of your plants and trys to naw on it, the gnat just had it's last meal... You should never use this right before or during your flowering cycle ever!!!

I know your doing hydro but for the people that are going the soil route. As a good preventive maintenance to deter bugs away from your garden, mix worm castings in your soil as part of your medium. Your plants love it and bugs hate it!

so far its been 4 days since i used spinosad & there are no thrips..its been 2 days since i added the mosquito dunx to the rez & i hope to have all fungas nat gone in the next few days.....& as 4 the mites...still no sign of em..or aphids too..

I'd say u wiped them out! Should be smooth sailing from here on out... Sounds like you were harboring life in there... Your thrips are the little cigar shaped insects eggshell white in color, about a cm long, they kinda squigle a little bit, like to live on the lower portion of your plants where they lay their eggs and live on the under portion of your leaves. They leave small little slug trailish looking squigily marks on the top of your leaves. Are these the thrips you are talking about?

yeah....they do some damage to the leaves but nothin to bad......the room is full now w/ all healthy clean & thriving bubakush...im using the whole line of advanced nutes & i must say the harvest is lookin like its gona be a good 1 4 sure..

the thrips are tiny.. id say 2 mms logs.. they look like mini fleas..they even hop..the plants are 2 weeks from harvest so im not gona spay ne more on them but rhe other tables are a month behind so they re gona get a preventative spray..even if i dont see any..
