Still on the fence about this attitude, although it is creeping up in me. The industry is still in it's infancy, but it seems like several years of bureaucratic nonsense/infighting to clean the mess that's been made by the years of bureaucratic nonsense/infighting that has pushed this thing into the corner of legal compliance it is in. Typical of most new freedoms- the lid is blown off- abuses occur, bureaucracy ensues, freedoms are curtailed. I don't wish the DEA on anyone, but if they stopped operation of some of the big offenders, I'd quietly applaud the outcome, if not the efforts.
It's a tough stance/statement for me to make as well, NT..... but the bottom line is that the voters who passed this law NEVER intended it was an avenue/in to any "industry". Nope, most folks thought it was about folks growing their own and medicating with MMJ...and not at all about >anyone< supporting themselves via MMJ through warehouse grows and selling pounds out-of-state.
Had 1284 been an offering to the voters and the voters passed it...I'd have no say/argument and would support the effort. However, comin in the back door as it did...and fuckin the patient base as it has and still does...I'd simply like to see the slate wiped clean the the program returned to the patients, as intended by the voters. If the Centers want to exist, let them take it to a vote of the people.
