copped from another site and stored in my bookmarks:

MOAB consists of 3 ingredients which are listed on the package from largest proportion to least

1st is simply Mono-potassium phosphate which is known as MKP 0-52-34

2nd is Mono-Ammonium Phosphate, which is known as MAP and is 11-52-34

Lastly there is thiamine hydrochloride.

for 1kg of M**B you use 905.19 grams of MKP
90.81 grams of MAP
1.0 grams of thiamine hydrochloride

this will give you 1-52-34 with a .01% thiamine hydrochloride

sky did some quick searching. Cheaper prices may easily be found, I just grabbed the first stuff I saw that was the cheapest of the offerings that came up.

you can buy 50 POUNDS of MPK on the net...shipped...for $150

5 pounds of MAP ran $45 with shipping

The B-1 reagent is about $40 for 30 grams on Ebay

for $235 you can make just over 55 pounds of "MOAB". Cost per pound $ 4.27 !!!

Roughly, you can source these chems and mix it yourself for 1/10th the cost.

If you leave out the MAP you will only lose 1% N and you could cut the cost to $3.45 per lb.

you can also buy the MPK per pound...about $10....

good luck, all

Dude.....it only costs like thirteen bucks for many gallons worth of this stuff...Trying to find and mix all this stuff isn't even worth the time unless you got 2 wherehouses full of blooming plants....I will pay the extra $10 to not have all the hassle....and a guarantee that it works......You maybe up for the challenge of finding and mixing all that stuff but ....c'mon.......for the average guy with a closet.....I mean....it's kind of a hassle.........I totally respect you for creating your own but for most small growers....it's just not feasible.......As far as pre mixed powders....MOAB is one of the cheapest...It also contains no dyes............Peace

I am merely offering those Farmers who are interested an alternative to higher priced nutes and am touching upon the thread question "Is it worth it?"

I know it isn't mainstream, but believe it or not there are certainly folks here who buy bulk chems and mix their own ratios/formulas.

I'll leave it at that out of respect for the thread/etc.

good luck with whatever you choose to use

Definitely! The last two weeks of bloom are the most crucial...Mad Farmer's M.O.A.B. Is a cheap and efficient way to boost phosphorus and potassium in the last stage, which is crucial for resin and late flower production...You don't want any wispy wimps and M.O.A.B. is sure to give you the density and resin production you deserve.

MOAB is made by MAD FARMER in San Diego. Here is a link to all the Mad Farmer products, up, down, nutz, etc:

they aren't carried at many places. The feedback all seems to be the same though.... It's Strong!!

I hear they are coming out with 2 new products as well, a cloning gel and ???. We shall see.

This is my favorite late bloom enhancer. It is cheap and efficient. It usually triples my harvest. I have used many others over the years and they just don't compare. I heard it is also made in the U.S. which I like. Make sure you use only half of your normal base nute dose. Don't wanna burn. Good Luck.....

quick thread jack, hope you don't mind,

Mason can you give me a more ~scientific~ explanation about how drip clean works?
I was on the fence about the product and then I saw sfzoo saying he likes the product as he fills it allows him to feed different strains the same ec without burning one strain/ or overfeeding the other. Looking at the listed ingredients I am unsure how it would work, but Im no chemist. I also read someone say it needs to be used through out the whole grow to work properly, any opinions?

I read this on the site, but would like to understand a bit more about the mode of action.

House & Garden Drip Clean is an extremely useful agent for anyone working with drip irrigation systems or gravity feed systems (e.g. Auto pots, IWS Dripper systems). Drip Clean works as a magnet, removing any dirt particles from your piping with every nutrient feeding so that the pipes stay open and clean. Furthermore, Drip Clean gives your plants a boost, improving their greenness and vitality.
Dilution Rates

1ml of Drip Clean will treat 10ltr of nutrient solution. 1ltr of Drip Clean will treat over 10000ltrs of nutrient solution.
Product Information

House & Garden Drip Clean is a 100% safe agent providing it is used in the right proportion. Drip Clean contains potassium and phosphors compounds, two very powerful and useful elements in the nutritional plan of the plant. These two compounds have had their chemical molecules changed to remove one of their structures. This makes the molecule into a kind of magnet, as molecules always try to complete themselves. Drip clean attracts dirt particles with every feeding, keeping the drip system clean. Drip Clean can also be used to keep your medium at an optimal EC-TDS level, saving you to flush as often as it will remove salt buildup. Drip clean never fails and is very effective against clogged dripper systems and piping.
Application

Drip Clean should be added to the nutrient container during the entire cycle of the plant. A very small amount of Drip Clean will ensure that your drip systems and Auto pots stay clean and are much less prone to blockages. Prepare your nutrient container by first adding your base nutrient (e.g.: Soil, Coco, Aqua Fakes) to the water container then adjust your EC of the nutrient to your desired level. Adjust the pH value to harmonise with the nutrient solution. Use House & Garden pH+ (up) or pH- (down), as this has been
developed specifically for use with House & Garden nutrients and will give you a longer and more stable reading. Your nutrient solution is ready for its first watering.

Use Drip Clean on every feed to help prevent problems.

Do not add Drip Clean if you already have a problem as this may cause further complications.

thanks man

Kinda funny to see someone point out "how the world works" to a fellow Farmer as they breach the TOU here by posting the link to a hydro store in their sig. (see #7 of the TOU)

Such a stunt is taking advantage of logic's good graces. If you wana advertise yer store here (and if it isn't yers you have no reason to link it/should be no big deal to remove the link) yer supposed to anti-up to do so....

just sayin'....

right now I'm back to all organic, MM.....so the chems are on the shelf for awhile.

the "high-PK" ferts all do about the same thing, IMO. I'm blowing away the results with the organics but you have to be patient whereas the bloom boosters give results far more quickly.

good luck to all...whatever you use
