In what use are you asking? For teas I would say yes for plants I would not use it.

Molasses has a specific use, which is to kickstart micro-organisms in organic mixes, which break down unavailable nitrogen into available nitrogen. Once the population is kickstarted, it doesn't do much. It's not directly available or useful to the plant. If you're not doing full on organic, its not needed. Once you soil is established, it's not needed. Two much attracts pests.

Think I'm going to run Canna Boost instead of molasses

Canna Boost is expensive!

I was going to experiment and use molasses, but bought a 1 litre bottle of Boost instead. I reckon Boost even has that green look of molasses.
