Well that sucks. How's your water?Thinking that the girls are wanting a feeding soon. Might foliar feed tonight.
Since the pH of the soil is sitting around a 7.3 my guess is it’s leading to a boron deficiency, or its just in need of a little cal-mag. Anyone know why some of the leaves are curling sideways??

Don't know and I've got clay soil surrounding and mixed in. Must be something in the soil. I'm keeping straw and composted horse manure as mulch. So far so good.Water going in is always 6.2-6.8. I think it’s got something to do with the hole the plant is in is surrounded by clay perhaps? Or maybe it was just the ph of the soil I started with.

I know right?! And funny enough the AK kush plant was a little runt for so long. I know AK kush is supposed to be a little shrub anyways but it was WAYYY smaller than the others even though planted at the same time. It was stunted actually because when I planted it initially the tap root started coming out of the soil rather than down so I had to gently dig it out and flip it over. But anyways this was it compared to others planted at the same timeWow! All look excellent but that OGKZ and the AK kush are really extreme! Can’t wait to see these flowering! I would only be more excited if they were mine
Hey there fellow ont. grower! Great to see your grow on here! I’m liking it a lot! Freaking well done, your passion for the plant is soooo apparent. I’m glad you’ve been able to nurse your gal back to health. I had the wind knock over a large kush plant a couple of years ago right at the base cuz I didn’t have her supported enough only about 1/3 of the base was still intact so I took some of that heavy clay soil and built it up around the base. I supported it and it survived! Didn’t yield much all small buds but better than dead!!! I manifolded a couple of outdoor gals but when they got larger they split on me ahhhhh! I’m a rookie and make mistakes lol. I see you have your gals well supported good on you man! I since started tying my gals at a 45 degree angle and caged them pulling all my side branches out it’s been working well or at least it did last year. One ? For you is how do you control borers or do you not have them where you are at?
Hey there, yes unfortunately I’ve made a few errors along the way but thanks to the farm and folks like you and many others I’ve minimized my errors. Yes I used good old duct tape to repair the split stalks it didn’t totally repair them but it sure helped until I got invaded by bud worm ahhhh! Once again I was trying to minimize my spraying and got caught so I started using end all but they had entered the stems. When they started to flower I switched to flora shield but it was too late to get them under control. So then it was a race to let the buds grow enough yet beat the worms from eating away at them. I did manage to get some smoke outta my efforts! I’ve only been in Ontario for 3 summers now and this has been a tougher endeavour than what I thought it would be. I need all the advice I can get. I have posted pics of my gals on the 2019 outdoor grow and will try and post more pictures as the season continues. Thx in advance for any advice you may share much appreciated!!!! You’re the beast!! Oh ya I don’t want to put my pics on your journal it’s way to prettyThank you man! I truly appreciate the kind words! I am so happy that plant came back to life as well. Was on the verge of cloning it but figured it was more work to do so and I’m trying to avoid any extra work since I’m trying to complete a thesis. Told myself if it dies then whatever I’ve got more plants growing and almost expected it to die but it really didn’t want to. That and your story about supporting your plant really show how resilient these plants are! But yeah you’re right about that, small yield but better alive than dead!!
That’s brutal about the manifolded plants of yours though, were you able to tape it back up and have those survive still or they didn’t live too much longer? But hey you’ve gotta make mistakes if you want to learn. Maybe that last comment isn’t entirely true but sometimes you really do need to fuck up a bit to learn what not to do. The training I did on these plants is something new I tried this year but fuck did they ever turn out beautiful in my own opinion. Just was a little twist on manifolding. As you can see they then turned out to be huge spherical bushes, lots of leaves yet tons of airflow. I’ll probably be doing this technique from now on.
Also I’m lucky to have no issue with borers where I am. If I did I think what I would do is when I dug my holes (in the clay earth) for my new soil I would place a cage, like the ones around my plants right now, on the edge of the clay hole. Maybe a bit heavier of a gauge so nothing would break through.
Glad to hear from another Ontario grower, hope your grow is going well this year homie. If you’ve got a grow diary or some pics I’d love to see! Keep in touch!

Hey there! Thanks for the likes on my gals I too had to chop early last year because of bud rot to much rain and humidity. My buds didn’t finish quite the way I was hoping to. I think it was around October 5 ish when I chopped sure would’ve been nice to get a couple more weeks in let’s hope October is warm and dryer than last year. I’m really curious to see how your fast flowering strains turn out for you keep in touch homie!!
Your gals are doing great! I saw your other post re: pruning some leaves. I don’t take anything off of outdoor plants until they die on their own or they are so thick the air circulation is being affected and you see transpiration then it’s time to do a little clean up. I have to be careful with my gals and not leave any wounds down low because boring bugs seem to find a way into the main stem
