Back at it again lol.

I finally got some clones I've wanted for a while now, and they arrived looking less than ideal.

I know clones looking kinda bad after shipping is normal, but wanted your two cents because I've never had this issue.

Do you see any roots? Treat them as you would the first clones you made and if they have roots bury them in some soil now give them soft lighting till they perk up.

They're already rooted man. And you can't "see one dying already" lol. They're just stressed, and I was unsure what exactly they needed as far as environment goes. That being said...I've had plants that had every leaf eaten off, and still grow fine...so idk what you mean by seeing one dying already at all lol.

I put them into a tent with too low of rh, and they started curling up...I know this now...but dang lol. Spewing stuff out with a condescending tone doesn't help anyone brother

And that's a pretty huge assumption that they're actively headed towards death from lack of water based off of some photos lol

I finally got some clones I've wanted for a while now, and they arrived looking less than ideal.

That looked like shipping stress plus a fast humidity drop more than “doomed clones” to me. Rooted or not, little clones can still lose the water balance battle for a day or two because the root mass hasn’t caught up with the leaf area yet.

I’d keep them in boring recovery mode: soft light, warm root zone, cube/plug moist but not drowned, and humidity high enough they aren’t fighting the room. Then crack the dome or lower RH in steps so the stomata and new roots can adjust. Same idea as hardening off veggie starts from a greenhouse, you don’t throw them straight into dry air and full sun and expect them to act normal.

If the stems are still firm and you’re seeing any fresh green push, I’d leave the ugly leaves alone unless they go crispy. The old damaged tissue won’t tell you much now, the new growth will.

Like 99% sure this is the issue. It’s summer time in the us, it’s hot and in some areas very dry, they’re just fussy. Gentle lighting and proper humidity will even them out. They’re not “doomed clones” good luck with em

So.
Managed to bring 2 of them back to life lol.
But now the reship plants are definitely doing better than they are.
They're just slow and have smaller leaves.
I keep wondering if they'll even out with enough veg time or not.
Also worth mentioning that 2 are from one TC mom, and 2 from another TC mom.
Leaf size is different, but that could be from being so stressed early on OR somaclonal variation or whatever it's called lol.

Now that it's outdoor flowering season, im able to extend my veg time indoors.

Really interested to see what happens between the two different batches here!

Like I said...both are the same TC gen 1 clones, but come from different mothers grown by different growers...

So far it's hard to judge because the 2 original clones are STILL recovering from all that initial shipping/root stress!

In the meantime, im gonna sit by my flamethrower fire, watch my outdoor plants get wider and thicker, and take close up photos of SPARKLERS if you can believe it!

I'm gonna strangle this plant man lol. Looks super light in the tent, less light outside, has no salt buildup, and havent been pounding it with food...still looks like crap lol.

Idk about you guys, but I ALWAYS have a great run, and then a frustrating one lol

So.
I learned a valuable lesson with running bigger autopots with unknown (to me) genetics lol.
I'm starting to think these plants don't like wet feet, and/or theyre slower to fully root than the average plant.
Also for the record...
GETSEEDSRIGHTHERE.COM was a terrible experience...shotty clones, but the worst of it is that they never respond to emails and their number is disconnected lol.
ELITESHIPPEDCLONES.COM was exactly the opposite! Beautiful clones, bulk discount after 1 or 2, fast shipping, fast response to questions, huge transparent library.

For propagating more of what you got, especially if it's a unicorn plant. The problem with making them from your own plants very few from seed are truly clone worthy. Every clone I've picked up has been way tastier and more potent than any seed I've popped... But this is a good opportunity to talk strategy. You sometimes never know a plant is fire until you take it for a run, and by the time you're smelling those flowers it's often too late to grab a cut. So JUST IN CASE that plant is fire, take a cut of it before you flip it. Then you've got a preserved copy of it if it happens to be off the charts dank.
