Hey guys just wanted to know what you think. I have used a 6'' axil fan that I foiled taped to my air cooled light 600 watt it's the first one inline then that goes to another light 6'' air cooled 430watt then that connects to a 6'' air cooled 600watt then after that I have a 6'' suncourt inline then the run goes out the grow box. with both fans on room stays at 72deg when I turn off the axil it will jump to 80deg. That axil fan kicks butt on a eight foot run with one bend she blows hard. So this got me thinking. I wanna save electricty and replace my dayton 465 cfm intake with this. Buy a 10'' axil fan $64.00 665cfm drop that in a 10'' to 8'' reducer use two reducers seal around the inside of the axil with spray foam some sheetmetal screws on the outside of the reducer to pinch axil from moving around and make a Little stand to hold it. Even it this drops the cfm to 500 that would be fine it's only a 7' run with one 90 deg bend. Hers the axil I'm thinking of

And the reducers I'm lookin at

So please let me know if you have done this or know somebody that has and do you think it will work. I think it's around .28 amps thats nothing if it works great. So let me know if it blows or really blows. Thanks to all and to all a good toke!:afroweed:

i don't know anything about axial fans but i have a question - do dayton 465's really use that much power? how many watts do they pull? i was going to grab one this weekend but if there's some reason they suck, please let me know.

J206, I used to buy my squirel cages from a/c heating places. I used to get 2000cfm for 5 bucks from them used. Furnace blowers last a long time. JK
