well hello there neighbor, come on in and have a seat. after some discussion over mr.rogers goods and other neighbors inquiring into his oils its nothing to it. oil doesn't need no oven.
having made bho solely for an extended period of time, boredom led to trying other things like quick wash extractions using alcohols. during these trials the ethanol 190 ethanol seemed to reign supreme. plus the shit is edible.
side by side bho vs quick wash using same materials with blind trials provided my quick wash was front everytime. used dry ice thermos soak bho method with minimal purge.
several of these tips changed my oil game while opening my eyes. none of this is anything i invented. credit goes to the stoners before me
*starting material( shitty weed makes shitty oil( those cans or bottles amplify the characteristics of the plant, good or bad. they don't improve nothing or have special powers)
*dry ice(find that shit, get that shit, love that shit)
*cooler filled with iso alcohol and dry ice( cooling bath for all your jars in whatever stages. get enough dry ice to pre-cool EVERYTHING for hours before hand.
*when filtering washes drop clean dry ice fragments into the solution while its filtering while placing the jar immediately back to the cryo bath cooler
*use new pre-soaked filter jar combo for each wash, then place in cryo cooler till filtered completely.
*use gloves or multiple pairs. work fast and only briefly shake jar or keep materials outside cooler.
* i usually do 3-five minute cryo cold washes with shaking violently mixed in, but paying damn close to the jar not getting warm.
*combine first three washes(smoking) combine and evaporate with a fan.
*leave the evaporation dish alone entire time for shatter. also once volume is reduced from decanting one could pour in a way smaller dish to achieve thicker shatter
*stir or scrape dish while evapimg to get flake thc shards.
*combine last two washes and evap with fan also or dump in fatty oil then make canna butter oil on stove like normal.
