Two failed attempts the plastic is too thin the paddle bit I was using made it chip and break so now my rubber grommets don't work so I'm still going to use the 5 gallon bucket's for nowView attachment 632976

put masking tape over the plastic bro,,were your gonna drill with paddle bit,,it will cut smother edge and when it starts to beak threw it wont grab the plastic and run if you dig ,,same as aluminum tape keeps a crisp cut hole,,on that plastic bits got to be sharp,,i have a better way,,if you want to try it,,drill a hole as big as you can with reg bits and then finish hole with a dremel tool,,is this for your trimmer?if so get a cheap as wally world tote drill a hole in each side ,,put lid on and hit that drill full blast,,lmao only place it will come out is the 2 holes for your all thread

you could also heat that paddle bit up on stove and drill a hot melting hole threw the bitch quick,,stink like crap but will have smooth hole

When you first start drilling try running the bit backwards first, this will help prevent splitting. Those tubs are pretty thin though so you may have trouble with getting the holes to seal properly. We had our best luck with Rubbermaid trash cans. :)
