I always pay attention when you share the knowledge brotha. I just started using potassium silicate from build a soil to see if I noticed anything.Just a silica tip. Diatanatious earth is made of it. It is an excellent additive for organic silica.
I don't add it anymore. I get strong stems and branches and good strong healthy leaves from the proper amount of potassium kept up in the medium.
And it is a common trace element anyway.
Potassium is actually responsible for most of the benefits they sell silica for. It has only been proven to increase yields in certain farm crops.
It is one of the most abundant elements on our planet. It was accidently discovered it increased yields in a (bean?) crop while they were trying to toughen up the plants for a pest infection sweeping the land.
They had not considered any desirable results but tougher leaves. They were hoping the silica didn't ruin their crop if used so excessively.
And because of that. The AG business now sells silica based on "may increase pest resistance and yield.
It's kind of like selling pk mix to potting mix growers as if they need to change the ratio like water culture.
"May increase density and yield"
Sure. If you are deficient already.
Mild rant over. I hope it helped someone.
Where you been jipp?
if someone brings me water. until my good leg heals, im worthless on crutches.. i can use a back pack and pack gallon jugs in but i have to wait till my good leg heals.I see you have a workable watering plan. :)

That's what its for but I'm using it in coco. I did some research and its one of the most available silicas to your plant. I'm also a bottled "organic" farmer. For water only organic mix right?
I don't know about the breakdown these chemicals. But I assume if the micro organisms break down the silica into salicitic acid for plant absorption the same applies to the potassium molecules.
I am not a real organic farmer. Bottled organics is still just fertigation.
But your comment just may have made me really start understanding what I might want in my own mix.
I can always make 1 or 2 pots with the little bags of inputs right in the ocean forest to see how it goes without risking much.
nope, woiuld have to run the hose through the ouse. LOLHook up a long hose?
happy birthday. iv not felt like bowling up.. just experience the pain for what it is.. pain. laughsFair enough bro. Sometimes it gets like that. Bowl up for me, I'm stuck at work and its my birthday lol
Where do you work that you get to smoke all night lolFair enough bro. Sometimes it gets like that. Bowl up for me, I'm stuck at work and its my birthday lol
I dont smoke at work lol, that's why I asked jippster to bowl up for me. I probably could honestly though. I work near where your profile says you're from.Where do you work that you get to smoke all night lol
Not to rub it in but...since my timer is fucked i have to shut my lights off . on by hand.. so thankfully by having them lower i can turn them on and off by computer chair,.
