all i know the bulbs say 8k.. and if that is teh wrong spectrum.. it be cheaper to buy a t5 for a 100.00 than spend 30.00 for 2 lights and im sure the t5 be better but heat is a issue. . laughs

what a t8 bulb here go for about 9 or 10 bucks

T8 bulbs at Lowes are cheap...the 6500K is what ur after... and the 3500K cost a lil more but still cheap....they come in 2 packs .....if u mix the spectrum is better but 6500K will work.....never used 8000K

thats what im talking about,,shit 30 bucks for 2 t8 bulbs,hell naw,,t5 yes but t8 and t12 bulbs are cheap and only reason t5 are expensive,is they no everyone use them to grow,,were the others are shop lights and do same thing,,just like you said manipulate them,,i would spend that bean money on bulbs not a new light,,cause as i found out i havent began to like mine at all,,jipp check out wave bulbs,,they sell them in pet store,,coral,reef,full out sun ,they have all kinds of spectrum,,but they are pricey,,tystik over at rollitup uses them and throws out some dank with them,,i checked them out but your looking at 30 bucks a bulb,,shit pink ,blue ,purple,yellow ,red all the same colors of led lights,just bulbs,,trying to remember the damn sight,,but it was wave something

yeah just check cheap.. ill get some and use the t8 for now on seedlings..

i just checked. it be like 20 bucks for the 6500, and 3500 for 2 packs. much cheaper than getting a t5.

the seedling that broke ground last night basically gave up on the idea to life by morning.. it was laying on its side so i prop it back up and we see if it grows. laughs.. i have the worse luck for seeds spouting some what normal.

i gave my pepper plant some bloom food with a pinch of veg.. and fucker has lots of new blossoms i thought the original 6 was all it would give but apparently they keep flowering for a while?

both...to start it up ......simply start seed or clones every 2 weeks ..... have a seedling and clone space...then start a veg space....then a bloom space....easy peazy....once u get the 3 spaces going just stick to the " every 2 weeks " chores of moving plants from stage to stage as needed ...and taking clones or seed

takes a while to get it going ...but works..if u dont mind chores and have the time for it dig?

im gonna have to work up to something like that so i always have meds and fruit salad is a must id get bored of teh same strain over time id imagine. maybe not.. i really like SD. even if its a east coast thing hah.

The growers of Astradam who have perfected this method, are quite successful with this VERY quick style of growing...
However they always start with clones, being that clones behave differently when flowering is initiated when very young (1-3 weeks old) at flip...

The sea of green (SOG) method is another type of growing technique that encourages high yields. In a way, it is the exact opposite of SCROG. SCROG uses a few plants and creates multiple, highly developed budding sites. SOG, however, uses many plants (30 to 40) and focuses on the development of one primary cola.

After clones are given 1 to 2 weeks to establish, they are switched into flowering. This causes the clones to go into overdrive. Their stalks begin to thicken and they start to produce a single, impressive flower.

In rare cases, the plants simply stretch tall and produce a small bud. For this reason, SOG can only be done with clones. Seedlings do not react this way when rapidly switched into flowering.

SOG requires very intense lights and more maintenance. You save quite a bit of water with the SCROG technique. You can also get away with less light using SCROG.

While sativas take nicely to SCROG, indicas are best suited for the SOG method. Plants in SOG rarely reach a height of more than 12 inches (30 cm).

The SOG technique is quite a bit faster than SCROG. The SOG method is typically used by professional growers who need high yields very quickly. SCROG is better for the average home grower, who wants to get a ton of product out of just a few plants.

The high number of plants used in the SOG method also makes for greater legal troubles in some areas. In most legal states, you can only grow 4 to 6 plants. This makes SCROG a better option for most people.

This was what I found very interesting!

Overall, you can get a similar yield using both methods...
