First I will post some pictures of the design and the process I went through to make this LED panel.
I used every part from the design reference except for the heat sink, frame, fans and dimmer.
Fans are powered by a separate 6 v power supply.
If you have all the tools and sourced the parts you can make one for around 1000 bucks. Expensive but consider the fact that similar models from kind and Mars will run you 2500 bucks.
I did my own research for months before stumbling upon the cree design, I gave up my own plans for a custom led panel simply because Cree spent the money to R&D and test their design and give it away freely. Now this design does not produce more then .2 percent uv, I'll have to supplement this in bud with running my thowpow mh for and hour or 2 each day. I plan to veg and bud all under this one light.
The goal of this post is to sate the curiosity for anyone who has considered building one or is curious how cannabis performs under one. below I will provide pictures of the build feel free to ask questions. And soon after I will provide grow details and pics if there is any interest in its performance.
