Ok quick update.

Im on week 7 from seed. Day14 of Flowering.

Here is a picture before i trimmed her.

Paulie notice the 2 top stems. Those are gonna be some big Colas... The topping was a success. Thanks for the instructions.

err no need to cut her down that much she needs those fan leaves to give energy to pump out the flowers. Got a little carried away with the clippers I think. Removing some yellowing leaves or some fan leaves around mid-late flowering is ok but this was too early imo.

Those leaves you cut dont have any thc on them so they are not going to be useful for hash. Sorry bro.

I thought I saw a slight Calcium defeciency as well FF nutes dont cover calcium and magnesium very well I suggest looking for some cal-mag for future grows.

Thanks Holy Munchies. Im new to this so i didnt know. I will not clip her ne more unless i see some yellowing leaves. Thanks for the info. So when do the leaves begin to have THC? How do you determine the calcium Mag Defficeny? Also how do i administer the Calcium or Mag? Cani buy it at the local Hydro Store? What is that used for? If you could refer me to some info on that please do. Thanks for the input its much appreciated.:harvest:

Yea there is noo need to cut down the leaves unless they are yellowing or they r shading some of the lower branches from light
honestly a lot of people think differently about the whole cutting fan leaves off
some people look at it like roses and only want the flowers so to them there is no reason to keep the leaves
i think it depends on ur personal preference
you should experiment
try new things
and dont be afraid to fuck up
these r just some of the things i learned from growing
and they could be applied to almost anything in life
keep em coming with the updates

I would not clip anything at this point yellow or otherwise. Some yellowing is natural as a plant finishes. If she no longer needs a leaf she will turn it yellow and drop it all by herself no assistance required. I understand what you were trying to do but it wasnt needed in this case.

Ok so lets focus on what we have left when you switch to 12/12 you prob noticed a large growth increase and will for a few weeks plants can easily double or triple in size. The fan leaves many of which got cut are like solar panels they provide energy to grow.

I would say your 2nd or 3rd week your plant will exhibit flowering (lots of white hairs forming) at the tops and then at the other bud sites. A typical flowering length would be 8-9 weeks long but anything between 7 and 12 is normal. THC will be visibly noticable as the plant takes its course.

Cal-mag is very common and a quick google search should tell you more than you ever wanted to know. Yes it would be available at any hydro store.

There is an abundant wealth of info on everything you need to know on here but you really need to just put the time in to read and research your questions.

Be careful with that FF feeding schedule I don't use the hydro side of it but I know the Soil side can screw up a plant pretty good if your not careful. The nutes are strong and a little goes a long way.

How are those air stones working for you? I stopped using the cheap ones a while back, they can be a problem and cost you some nutes. If your flood and drain, the water will aerate upon the flood. Just saying, keep an eye on those stones and clean them often. I'll be watching your lady mature, Peace.

I will be flushing system for 1 day with Distilled Water. Will comense Week 8 Feeding Schedule on Sunday morning.

Will keep you updated.

Also purchased my PH Up & Sugar Daddy's Magnesium Sulfate mix. Should be good to do after this. Will update with pictures soon.

lookin good so far, yeah with MJ everyones told me that it is a hearty plant and can take all sorts of shit (even newbies). cant tell if your tying those tops down?? your prolly gonna have to stake those colas.

Ok, so i did my flush earlier in the day. She is now sitting in ph'd Distilled water with a Nute called. Sugar Daddys it is derived from Magnesium Sulfate. I PPM'd the Res to 220 nice and low. I want a 1 day flush with no nutes. Is this right? or should i wait longer?

Its crazy, you really dont see the size of the plant until you take it out of the tent. Damn she is getting Bushy as hell. All i think i might have Fimmed her instead of topping. I count four main colas. At least i think. The little hairs are really starting to grow at the bud sites. Here are couple of pictures before the flush.

ive never done reservoir hydro
but the best advice i could give u is, dont fix shit if it aint broke
your plant looks good
especially for your first imo
trial and error is the best approach to almost any situation in life especially growing weed
its very hard to kill these fuckers
from what i know, most nutrients especially hydro
are packed with chelating agents that force feed the nutrients to the plants
some of these are different types of salts
i would imagine after 2 weeks whatever nutrients and chelating agents your plant hasnt used has most likely settled to the bottom of your reservoir and is just caked on it
it happened to me with some plastic containers i was using to to mix nutrients in
the best thing you could do is go TLO (True Living Organics)
its cheaper and more efficient than any type of nutrient solution you can buy in the store
but it takes a little bit of money, research and hard work
but it will pay off
if thats not a step your willing to take, i would suggest you start a weekly or bi-weekly cleaning of your reservoir to ensure this wont happen again
if you want to know more about TLO just let me know i can give u plenty of info and suggestions
other than that bro
pat your self on the back and roll one up
another month or so and you will see the fruits of your labor :)

the roots being slightly stained is something ive seen a lot especially people who do hydro
these companys put a shit ton of stuff in their nutrients and you can never really know what or why or how much
if u want that shit to stop
u gotta go organics, and using shit that says organic doesnt count

I keep my resi's in a dark cool room outside grow room, and ever since I made that move, I just about eliminated a resi ever dirtying up. Like night and day. Hope that helps, Peace.

Ok some updates:

The week after the flush, I proceeded with the fox farms feeding schedule for week 5. Let me just tell you that the ppm's suggested by fox farms burned the hell out of the plant. I ppmed to 1250ppm and she got burned. So as soon as i saw that she was looking depressed, I did another flush. and ran the roots under tap water for a good 1/2 hour. My stupid ass decides " Hey let me start bending the top colas there getting to tall for my setup". Stupid move, I cracked the stock down to the secondary colas. FUCK!. So i tried to tape her up but she didnt tke. So i had to chop all 3 top colas. Here are the flicks:

All this and she looks like she is recovering very well. Anyways, so i after the burn i ran her in 200 ppmed of the Mag. Suger Daddys distilled water for 5 days. I then flushed again.Im now running the Fox Farms feeding schedule for week 5 at 1/2 the strength (720ppms) @ 6.7 Ph. Fox Farms suggested 1150-1560ppms. I believe that 1/2 strenght on there nutrients are safe. Anything else is just a waste. She seems to be liking this very much so. Here are some pictures im now on Day 35, Week 5 of flowering. She is looking good. Considering the break that occured.
