I admit I was not prepared even though I had read everywhere I need a cal mag in ro water. Pothead! Lol. I have some inbound and should be here tonight before bed.

@Sunin thank you for the assist!πŸ™‚

out of the different training techniques you tried, which one looks to be performing the best so far ?

Really they are all pretty good. I have a list of things I wished I would have done different that's for sure. I'm still figuring things out and think i can kind of see how things are going. I think 2 of the plants are going to have many small nugs and hopefully 2 will have the mainlined long ass buds.

The ladies that got just a light defoliation and lollipop sprung buds up first but they are also the ones I flattened out the most and did very little stretching.

I'm seeing serious potential for some big ass buds! I mean I am sure hoping. We got buddlings on every plant now. The pic is from the one that popped first. These showed up so fast after the flip it's crazy. Now I'm dying to see them get plump and frosty.

If the buds manage to fill in half that tip I'll be crazy happy!

Let's go!

Man, the potential for big buds is real, those buds are going to be amazing!

I'm like a little kid doing happy dances and singing "I got trichomes! I got trichomes!"

They are tiny and almost invisible to an unaided eye like mine at this point. The wife can see them and point the leaves out so I can look with a big ass spy glass i gotta get a loupe. I'm so excited! Let's go!

Hell yea dude! Gonna look rreeeeaaaallll good in a couple weeks

I wanted to update my watering practices. I've learned a ton from some wise growers here by reading tons of replies to people's posts. I've learned and now understand that over watering is not a single shot of too much water in one watering. It's a series of waterings too frequently. Understanding this I focused on figuring out how much water my potting medium holds when saturated. It's about 6L in the 5 gallons pots. Every watering each pot gets 1.5L at a time with a few puffs on the joint in between. The 15 gallon pots I'm putting in 18L at a very very slow rate. 1.5L and wait and repeat. On all the pots I add 1.5L from the 5 gallons of calmag I mixed at full strength. I'm not sure if that's not enough yet.

I ordered a dehumidifier for the tent because my night time rh swings crazy high. Like into the 70s.

I also have a small addiction, oh fuck okay my mj habit just has a new flavor. I'm absolutely addicted to to seeing the plant I've been so fond of for the last 30 years produce the object of my desires. So I have a new 2x2 tent and 200w light to put up this weekend. Next week my 7 gallon pots and soil arrive and then it's time to grow an auto for the first time. Been a pothead over half my life and I'm getting to experience a brand new part of it now. I can't wait to smoke these!

Starting week 3 of flower. Things are getting serious now. Did the last big defoliation on all the ladies yesterday I could not see the back wall of the tent through the canopy. It was dense. I pulled off the majority of the fan leafs except a few per cola. I can see through the canopy now. It's game time baby! Making me some buds.

First pic is an after defoliation. You can clearly see through. I think I'm good to go.

Next I have some thoughts on topping and timing. I have a few plants I topped back to node 3 from node 6 or 7, I topped 1.5" up from the node to avoid splitting. This trunk looks like it almost split.

Then I have 3 that I topped at node 4 soon as I could reach it clean. Those plants don't show any evidence of having been topped.

I think going forward when topping I will be doing it as soon as possible as opposed to topping back a few nodes. It looks so much better on the plants that were topped young.

Let's go!

We took a similar educational path πŸ˜› . I learnt the hard way that its best to go wet-to-dry, the wise men and women here set me on the right path as well. Your plants look great after the defoliation.

Well done with the defoil plants look great. I love the smell of weed inside growing too but not so much the light & tent in my bedroom LOL. I hope you get golf ball buds those look wonderful.

Thank you! I get so nervous touching the little limbs still. After popping the leaves off 7 plants with no disaster, my confidence builds.
