I have seeds in my weed! 😆 I had a nug break off as I was resituating the light a few more inches up and forgot I had the zip attached to a cola. So mid nug popped off and I dried it to smoke it. A single seed. Found the remains in the grinder because I just assumed and I didn't double check first. Shit. Oh well. If that's the worst fuck up I suffer on my first run that's fine. The smoke wasn't terrible. Could have let it dry a few more days but wtf. Has a weed flavor. I've smoked better but I've smoked worse.

Considering it's the most expensive fucking weed I've bought in my life if you count the cost of the material! 🤣😧. Hopefully the proper dried shit tastes better.

Silver lining is this weed does taste really good. So that's a plus. And now I will have so many seeds to practice germination and other other shit. But my big question is are they regular seeds? Or do hermies make feminized seeds? That would be pretty cool to have a bunch of female seeds. Either way I'm not discouraged by my first grow and very excited to smoke it!

Hermies unfortunately do not produce feminized seeds :( they actually produce seeds with the gene for hermaphrodism, so theyre just as likely as the parent plant to do that to you. Hopefully that was just a 1 off fluke and you can get some dank ass buds!

If they will germinate I will find them useful. I want to set up an area in the back for an outdoor grow. If they sprout I will run the hermie plants all day the first season or so as I'm trying to get location and such ironed out. I mean they will probably germinate right? Just be sub par and not worth trying to harvest?

Yes theyl usually germinate and they could definitely still go through a normal grow cycle without going hermie on you, as long as they arent too stressed at the wrong times lol sometimes totally worth the harvest, as long as it doesnt focus its growing power on seeds haha

After pouring through the plants in the big tent this morning I can't see any visual indicator of hermies or male flowers. So maybe this was a stress seed? Would there be a visual indicator beyond the banana for the presence of a seed? The buds are all big fat so if I lost out on what could have been then I'm not so 😭 😭 😭

But if there are noale flowers am I actually dealing more with "bag seed" than a hermie? Now I gotta look up the difference.

My very first joint of my home grown! Oh man I'm so very excited! This was a lower popcorn branch with 4 not too small nugs that got too heavy for their little stem. They broke so I plucked. The trichs were more cloudy than clear and the hairs were all red so wtf. I let it hang in the closet since Monday. Today they felt a tad crisp on the edges so I popped them off the long stem and I broke them up. I found a single seed. It's very plump and looks good so it went in the new GDP bag seed jar. Then I fucking smoked it! It was awesome smooth. The dry hit before I lit it was incredible. I am so pleased with myself because this was not the worst smoke I've puffed by far. Very very smooth. It rolled super easy and burned cleaned and this was a bottom tier branch that fell over and snapped and wasn't really worth staking back up. So all the rest of the smoke in the tent still ripening is only going to be better! 😎. It's a very sweet day in my head today!

Chopping day on 2 of the plants. One has hermied and has pollen sacks and seeds all up in her. Made some nasty brown seeds. After seeing this I inspected her tops to find seeds. Tons of them. I guess this means one thing...TIME TO PRACTICE DRY SIFTING AND MAKING HASH! Sorry for yelling that I just get real excited because I really like concentrates. A rosin press is 100% on the list of badass weed toys on my shit to get list so maybe that will come before the desktop vaporizer? That's also high on the list of weed toys I need.
So I inspected the neighbors of the hermie plants and don't see any seeds yet. Maybe they are all seedy and going to be hash and maybe not.

My drying chamber: (plants have an alternate temporary spot to hang for the use of the shower)😁

During the day the best I'll be able to do on temp is 78. The nights are getting cooler although not to 60 but an open window should help.

5 plants remain in the tent because they can stand to ripen a bit more. Plus doing this in waves seems more appropriate if I can't just flip the entire tent.

Looks like at least a few oz on each plant.

Meanwhile in the auto tent the Medusa twins are rocking into week 4. They are moving into flower and showing a bit of bud sites. I had to defoliate a bit okay a bunch as well as lollipop off a bunch of problem growth. These girls are in such a hurry they were rubbing leaves and causing problems. So I thinned them out some.

Full shot. (The clip on fan is a new addition bringing the total number to 3 for this tent)

I'm busy making preparations for the next run. I have a hydro system I'm super excited to build. It's my project for the foreseeable future. This means a reboot of my lung room, shelf building, hydro plumbing... I have big plans that will be lots of fun for me to construct and learn how to use.

Big fat thank you to everyone on the farm for all the assistance provided both directly and indirectly! Also thank you to everyone that lurks and reads.

Definitely the secret sauce to my limited success has been good growing media. I think coco loco and the indicanja are the shit so far man!

My question for the day is when should I start feeding bloom on an auto?

Chop day for the cocoloco grow. I'm fucking stoked as ever. Work snafu means I'm home for long enough to have done this:

My environment is far from perfect for the dry. I chopped 2 of them on Sunday and had put them in the shower.....to dry? 🤯 So this morning I wake to find the girls left in the tent fucking laying down on the job. I start d to fix one and that made 2 more fall over. They were telling me they were too tired to go on. Branches I had never had a problem with and then it's all of a sudden on 4 plants. They were done. So I chopped and I hung them. I grabbed the 2 from the shower and put them with their sisters. My new nug press should be here today and I should have it ready to fuck with by the time these babies are dry.

So I almost made it. I'm not sure if this grow will be able to get me out the dispensary line forever just yet but I'm close. Oh soooooo close.
Since this weed is seedy I'm going to dry sift some as dry ice hash and press that into rosin. I'm going to deseed a bunch and press the flower directly and just to send I'm going to press a bunch of seeds and....hahaha okay I'm probably not going to press seeds. But if I get high enough I just might. I'm also going to smoke a bunch of joints. Make some edibles.

Most importantly I'm ready to begin the build for the hydro.

I have to get the lung room situated to accommodate the new toy
