Hey there farmers and gardeners, botanists and horticulturalists !
I have been growing for about a year and a half now but this is my first light dep. I mostly grow indoor but I'm switching things up now . Here's a brief journal on my urban light dep on the side of a house which was previously an unused space .
The strains I used are :
-strawberry fields
-hells fire og
-tango
-octane x bdog (blue dream x og )
I started my seeds indoors in my veg closet in late April .
I got a total of about 98% germination success. After about a month and a half into veg plants were sexed ; males eliminated .
After sexing plants are transplanted from 1 gal pots to 7- 10 gal pots and placed outside in the spring sun . I had my timer for my t5' in sync with the current natural light cycle to avoid issues when transferring outdoors.
Plants began growing rapidly , the hoop house was built and on July 4th I started pulling tarp ! A little late but that's ok .
Now I'm on day 50 and things are looking great except for white flies and pm. But the smell is out of this world . Especially the hells fire . Check out the pics , feel free to comment or ask questions and I'll keep you all updated on finishing days , harvest , and final product . Total of 35 plants in dep .
Super soil and plain water only during veg and biobizz bloom and veg in flower and some occasional top dressing .
Sorry if the pics are all over the place.

Buds are looking killer! Nice looking plants. What did you do about the pm

Thanks . Can't wait to taste them !
For pm I plucked off the leaves that had a lot on them and for milder areas I sprayed a product called green cleaner which I got as a free sample at the hydro shop . It works ok but usually have to come back and spray a couple more times . Luckily the pm in all wasn't in crazy amounts just here and there .

Hey @Maxigurl whats the neighborhood say about the tarps against your house? I see a roofline in that one pic showing the telephone pole? Anyone curious?

definetley some curious neighbors. even if they couldn't see anything I'm sure the whole block can smell it by now. one lady across the street is always out around the time i pull tarp. she must like the smell.

Better address that pm with some suffoil X and Regalia before it becomes a real problem. Also, always have plenty of fans for air circulation in there when the tarp is pulled. That PM is coming from all the humidity when you have your tarp closed. I'd be willing to bet the humidity gets over 80% at night

I have recently discovered that EM-1 (lactobacillus) can stop PM dead in its tracks. I have used this method on a few weeds outside as a tester. Sprayed one time and have not seen it for a couple weeks. I have not tried on cannabis.

Yeah the average night time rh was about 80% thanks for the info I'll look into that .
I also recently noticed pm on non canabis plants around the area , going to have to chop those just to be safe .

I've never heard of that before but I'm open minded , I'll look into that thanks for the tip .

Here's the updates I promised y'all .
Pulled my girls down on Saturday . Removed pm affected branches and washed them in h202 solution . I was reluctant to do so but it seems to have worked . No visible pm and the smell is just the same as are the trichomes as I've observed them closely . Luckily there was only a few ounces or so that were affected . The rest is A ok . Plants are now drying at 40-50% rh / 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Should be ready for trimming in the next week or so .really glad I did this light dep . I recommend it to all you indoor growers if you have an unused space in your yard . You'll be surprised how good of quality you can achieve , even with the crazy high humidity I dealt with . Next run I'm definitely going to go for environmental control and better tarp material .

Ps ,
If anyone has any questions feel free to ask
I'm not one of those little dick internet smart guys that's going to down you for asking a question and I'm always open to tips and suggestions .

Maxigurl you've got some "balls", kudos for the grow, just the size is quite amazing by itself, that it was accomplished with light dep within a neighborhood is even more amazing. Good luck with your trim and cure.

Thanks Dan . I'll post some pics of final products and give you a smoke report . It was a really fun experience . I'll be doing some indoor soon and I'll share that expierence as well .
