So my lights came on last night by mistake during second week of flowering wondering if I am safe from my plants changing sex because of this one time ordeal.
I understand time will indeed tell all but it’s the beginning stages of flowering and am sure the light wasn’t on longer then a total one hour… then off again for its regular scheduled turn on time… ima keep it on schedule and check for odd signs in the next week.. I hear I won’t have to wait that long if things do start to go bad I’ll notice right away because as I said it’s the beginning stages of flowering!Only time will tell. Once might not hurt, but you better watch for intersex traits.
I think I had a similar issue, one night light stayed on longer then needed and the plants had some balls, I picked them off and now has some decent flower almost ready for harvest BUT
there’s no way of knowing for sure if it was stress from something else or pollinated from a male I had way before, that might of left some pollen particulate around
I remember that too, got me to play around with the light more, I’ve done 6-4 and 4-2 andI was watching a video on Youtube from Dr. Bugbee and he was talking about the photo period of 12/12. He was saying that the 12/12 is used because it's 'safe' meaning that it's almost guaranteed to provide enough darkness to send the plant to flower.
He was stating that in some of their testing some strains could flower with as much as 14 hours of light and still be happy. That all being said...
As the others have said, I would keep an eye on them and see if you get anything popping up in the lower growth.
