My local Lowe's is breaking into the game

I was in my local Lowe's a couple of days ago and, for the first time ever, saw bales of Sunshine #4 mix piled high in the garden section. I didn't see a price on it and didn't find out, since I wasn't there for soil mix, but damn! I wonder what took them so long? This is Michigan, fer chrissakes.

They have carried sunshine 4 here at lowes for yrs and Menards carries promix.

Until this past weekend, I never saw it sold anywhere except grow shops.

Our Home Depot starting selling it recently too. I’ve never tried it so I don’t understand the hype or the high price tag. It’s just peat moss, perlite, and some mycos. You can buy all those separately for less money than their 2.2cuft bale and make a better product yourself.
