Im less than a half hour from you and am on the mountain alot, was just up in dart canyon looking at property last weekend.Im always surprised at how many peeps have plants on their balconies there, lol,The terrain and the heights of those decks keep the plants safely away from the rippers i guess.Been looking for a weekend spot high on the ridge overlooking the 2 lakes and the hi Des.

I got a bunch of buddies on the dart canyon side. It's crazy over there, almost every house has a garden.

@Orcaman it looks exactly like that....but it has no wings. It just walks around the leaves, crouched real low near the center veins. When it gets scared it just crawls to the under side of the leaf.

Alright....it's a new day.

I didn't get around to taking any more pictures yesterday because I was preoccupied with more pressing matters.

Yesterday I showed up at work to pick up my pay check. When I went into the office and asked for it, I was meet with the response..."ooh I thought you quit."
I said no,I had not quit but had not worked in a while because the cafe was no longer open on the week days.
I was then handed a paper(dated 9/02) that said I had been discharged for no show no call since 8/19.(I have documented conversation WITH direct supervisor all the way up till 8/27)
On top of all this THEY DON'T HAVE A CHECK FOR ME???
My supervisor walked in, I handed him the paper, asked if he knew anything, he said no. Then I asked him for a statement. He agreed.
I came home furious and broke still, called HR(10:30am)...she said she was on it, she said she would call me back.....at 4:30pm I call her back....she's already gone for the evening........wow.
I spoke with payroll this morning explaining the situation. She's knows this is bad...(you can't half ass fire someone on paper, don't inform them, and don't cut them a check?!?!)
So basically since I have their legal balls in a vice, they've already offered to change my paperwork to reflect that I was laid off, and I believe there will be overnight delivery of a paycheck in order....I should demand the legal penalty for not paying me upon termination, but I just want what I'm OWED.

Ok rant over(this is after 2bowls to the head)

Fresh start new beginnings. Maybe this is an excuse to get my own business rolling. (Pastry chef)

Cheers everyone, wish me luck.

Your employer is breaking quite a few laws there derk, they have to know this.If they terminated you 8/19 as they claim your final check should have been cut within 48hrs,every day after this they must pay you your full wages.Document everything said, just offering to say you were laid off kills them in the states eyes because then they are backpedaling and the state is liable for unemployment.

Alright, it's almost been a month. Sorry no updates, things have been crazy busy. I jumped back into the music mastering/editing/art world. I've secured enough commissions I should be able to comfortably live for several months, so that's great news.

As for the garden, I chopped 5yesterday...2 java 3unknown bag seed.trimmed all day yesterday with 2people plus myself, only got 2/3 of the way finished. Water today for the rest of the girls...another 2 weeks for 2 plants, another 3-4weeks for the last 3.

Early morning wake up....had to chase 4adolescent raccoons out of the garden. They had just started to dig, so no real damage.
I think they we attempting to get to the water fountain we have in the lower garden.

I was going to chop one of my girls early this morning....well, she decided to throw a bunch of new hairs over night. So I will water today, and chop in 2for her.

Things are really shaping up nice in the garden. It got very warm again, so even my tomatoes are throwing new flowers.

Took a few shots on my phone at Sun up.

Thanks for stopping in @GoldiNugs and @Toaster79 I appreciate the kind words.

@VERMONTSKUNKS it's actually not a "real"tree house. Its a house that happens to sit really high up in the canopy because I'm on a cliff in a 3 story house....so I lovingly refer to it as my tree house.

Get yourself some monterey BT(bacillus thuringensis) next year and do preventative sprays but at this stage you might want to visually scan your plants for budworms a couple times a day and pick them off with with something,i use a bamboo shish kebab skewer, you will find the worms concentrated in your best colas.I had them hit me this year too so your not alone but i was a bit further out than you are now. They say you can spray BT up to 24 hours before harvest but it actually takes a few days after they ingest it to start working and i dont like spraying anything if i can help it when your getting close. With the cooler moister weather the last few days you should be winding it up real soon.

Yep, thanks fish. I've been finding one or two each morning for 3 days. This morning was the first time one of those fuckers actually reached the bud itself. Gonna be doing a full inspection(no leaf unturned) each morning. Chopping a few tomorrow morning. Maybe 2 weeks out on others.

Derk,For every one you see there are at least 10 others you dont and i hate to say it but they definitely are in those premium buds, thats where the moths lay them and they hatch and live. The moths lay eggs(little white dots) in the premium tops and when the eggs hatch the worms bore right into the bud and live there getting fat on the sweetleaf. The damage actually comes from them shitting in your bud, look for dried out leafs/hard spots and areas that look like bud rot. You'll be ok just keep picking and smashing those bastages.
