My Northern Cheesey Hellbound Trainwreck and Reversal

Maybe I can open the windows and let some humidity back into the shop finally. Also let them get some outdoor time and save on electricity. Also get rid of this damn ice.

Went and checked things out a bit ago and yup got bugs for sure. I have spray but don't want to destroy the pollen. So ride it out, or wait just a week then treat. Thinking maybe by then some pollination will have already taken place so losing a little pollen won't be as much of a loss then.

Anyone treat bugs while trying to pollinate? If so what did you use.

You are just mean. Today's temp. here in Southeast Michigan is double digits for the first time in a week, and we are so excited that by Tuesday our high will be in the 20's! LOL

Looks like the cornstarch got a little chunky...like coke lol Did it arrive ok? Next time I will have some proper containers for it.

Now the trick is keeping track of them until drying is done! Don't turn the fan back on for a few hours or give the rest of the plant a spritz of water to neutralize any stray pollen from getting the rest of the plant.

Arrived fine. Thx!

I have bread ties marking the buds so I know which they are. Did four total, some of the younger ones. Saving more pollen for a cross to my Maverick CBD plants.

And I'm ok if others this time get it too...gotta share the love!

Are you picking the ripe flowers off and harvesting any pollen? Indoors and especially with STS they usually need a little help or at least a strong shake directly in the fan to really get it around.
No I haven't but I've been giving all the branches with heaviest flowering a good shake and even a rub against others that aren't flowering. I looked in my pollen catchers and I'm not seeing much. But I don't think I've had my largest flower opening yet. Still a lot of green ones but many seem to have opened just fine.

Just went with the DSLR and the macro lens and took some shots of the Mephisto laced buds. Already seeing signs of stigma tips withering. I'll check again tomorrow.

And checked the STS bud sites. Lots of flowers, lots of withered up stigmas but I can't be certain if they are from just maturity or from pollination taking place days ago. I see some are just the ends so that's promising. I'll know if they have seeds soon enough, well weeks yet but soon enough.

Seasons of Wither.

Went and checked them this morning. Both had fallen over. Well fuck. I am sure all will be ok but the STS treated plant was completely toppled and up against the wall. So have arrow will travel. Got she/him all tied up and fingers crossed. They also got a dose of Rabbit Shit Tea and some outdoor time. I've named the non STS plant Rita...so Good Morning Rita! Absolutely seeing stigma changes today where the Mephisto pollen was placed.

The plants are great but MAN that hula hooper, what a talent! Thanks!

Looked at the locations where the Mephisto Canna-Cheese pollen hit again this morning and I almost positive now the archers found their mark. Lots of crinkled up stigmas and browning. Gave all the buds a tickle too just in case the pollen is still active, I don't remember what I read on how long it survives. And my humidity is back up some 30+ RH is better than 18. Supposed to only be 64 today so I'll get them out later around noon for some fresh air and sunshine. Too cool right now. Now it's only time.
