So a couple months ago i bought these 2 a bottle of terra aquatica fulvic acid and root booster

The rootbooster now has a very strong Chemical smell

And the fulvic acid smells like rotten eggs

I have barely used the rootbooster its completely full
The fulvic is a little bit over half full

This happened in like 2 weeks because 2 weeks ago it didnt smell like ass

What do i do?

How were you storing it?

It's organic so I can see a smell as maybe being a normal thing.
Hopefully someone else using it can confirm or deny if it's supposed to smell like that.

I used General Organics (same as General Hydroponics and Terra Aquatica) BioThrive series which was organic and it naturally smelt like crap and seemed to of gotten worse after the bottle had been open for a little bit.

Email the manufacturer and see what they have to say.
Already did told him organic nutes doesnt have as long shelf life as synthetics and he honestly seemed surprised what a idiot

So i put it up for him this way
lets say the shelf life is two years and the bottle you sold me had been in storage for a year and eight months

He said we could figure out a small discount on the next order

How is that fair at all thats like buying groceries that’s expiring tomorrow at full price like what the fuck

just gonna feed it to my outdoors plants instead i hate things that smells inside my grow room thats why i mostly run saltbased nutes

I just saw now that you wrote manufacturer
it isnt that important they normally take ages to answer thier mails😂

Well glad they got back to you and for sure i'd never use that again. Once i used Alaska fish emulsion in my indoor tent and gawwd did it stink my family went bonkers i flushed them plants but good. 🤣

I'd toss it. Stuff that smells bad usually is. Something I've been doing to help avoid contamination is having dedicated bulb syringes for each nutrient/additive.
I did that this summer too after I spoiled a bottle of Floralicious+. Just rinsing the syringe wasn't enough.

Odors from the tents don't bother me. My wife tells me when they're bad. That's when I switch to carbon filters on the exhaust fans. That seems to take care of the problem.
