Mines already in flowering it's been in that 5 gal for a long time to. Do you think I should Check and cut them?

I

This was in a five gal bucket three weeks of veg, anything can happen man. I took mine out the bucket and used a bread knife to cut 1/3 of roots off the bottom right before i did my switch to flower

This is horrible advice. Ignore this new farmer. Do not cut your roots. Repeat, DO NOT CUT YOUR ROOTS. All he did was stress the plant and reduce the yield. I would also consider using the search function. Read the infirmary threads, learn all you can from proven sources. Beware who you take advice from. Best of luck.

Okay thanks ShroomKing I know you so I'm taking your advice man it seems like it would stress the plant out alot

I understand ur shock but what would u do? If ur space limited and cant go bigger then a five gal wjat would u do? Dont critics back up ur reasons man, ill tell U what ive done a side by side and only noticed a small amount of slowed growth

I don't know man shroom king is a really known experienced grower I think he knows what he's talking about

Roots are lie the mouth of the plant they take up the water/nutes that u feed.

Leaves are what hold the food and distribute it throughout the plant.
Therefore IMO cutting roots to maintain a root bound plant is alot better then cutting leaves.

When your in flower there are training techniques to handle height problems. Some include supercropping, LST (lightstresstraining), and mainlining to name a few. I would suggest some LST and possible supercropping if it gets to close to lights.

Yea I did some supper cropping in veg on my OG and I think it got sick or just reacted really bad to it but my Bc loved it I'm not sure if I should do it on my OG again and I have a scrog but I'm a really big noob and don't really know how to use it so I only use it sometimes I just push the tops under the string to the tops under the main tops can get sunlight because thats what ithink you have go do

But we are talking about root bound? And to supercrop in flower is worse then cutting roots if u supercrop the tissues in the cannabis stalks will not be able to help move nutes around

Super cropping is meant to do that it's meant to basically get the plant sick so it gets it stronger it won't be able to get nutes for alittle bit but after it fixes it self up it can get the nutes and water and even better

He's in flower. Theres not really an issue with bring root bound as long as you keep the plant fed and hydrated.
And yes when you supercrop there is damage to the stem, the plant will use a leaf or two above the break to sustain itself untill it heals, but it is a proper , proven technique. Root chopping in flower unheard of.
