Beauties that's for sure!

All those nick names and terms. Meanings change over time or better yet, you've been doing some little something for 20+ years and now all the sudden it has a name....

For me the term or word "supercropping" was something new that I had never heard or seen before back when I last grew. I watched videos on the subject & decided that I was going to perform the action on my plants as soon as they got big enough.
I knew I had to do something drastic because I couldn't tie the branches down or stake them down in my hydro buckets. The aluminum "braces" were something I came up with to keep them at a 90* angle long enough for the branches to heal & retain that shape..

Yes. Working on em as the pop out.

I know..I squeezed each branch on the first 4 sets of branches till I felt the inner structure pop, then bent them over at 90* angles & tied each set of branches to my aluminum rods to keep them at 90* angles until I removed the rods later. See my earlier pics of first training & the big fat knuckles at each branch. I suppose most folks only do supercropping on the upper part of canopy that you've seen?

Yes. I know. Topping is my thing. Good or bad it's what I fid on every plant I've ever grown. See my canopy. Hundred tops.

Thank you. I think so too. Was hoping to keep em on the smaller side to avoid potential rot, but I guess the strain DNA will to what it wants to do in that regard.
My bad 😂

Yeah that was just what I have exclusively seen super cropping used as. Never had I seen it used in veg.

Ps I got that fall o ponics in bound and will be using that next run so I will need you to review my build before it gets going. 🤘

Might have to have you come over & see the operation in action sometime before you start your setup?

Yeah you just got something I was pondering this morning. How the best way to install LST loops without drilling holes. My thoughts was the green training wire wrapped around the bucket just under the lid with some wraps of more wire coming up.

Maybe, but I would pull my plants out of the tent each water swap & set them in 5 gallon buckets so I could clean out the buckets, 3" drain lines, & the reservoir. Of course now that I have a scrog net up I'll just have to suck out all water with a shop Vac after they quit draining back. I saw a guy use hot glue to glue on rings he could tie onto. I don't like ties particularly because it pulls down that one spot, then VOOP, they turn 90* & straight back up. I've seen guys who did that & there branches look like a stair stringer. 😆
My next grow I will use 24" rods (not cut down to 12") & keep training them straight out till I'm ready for them to ho up.

Never tried hydro

Never tried hydro
Me either till now. Been waiting & planning for this grow off & on for past 40 years. Decided long ago that I wanted to do hydro. Cussed that decision more than once in the last 2 months, but you can't deny that they grow rapidly. 55 days today.

They grow like a bat out of hell with its ass on fire. Just the redundancies and cost scared me away. I made my way to living soil, I am a pseudo hippie so it fits me 🤷‍♂️.
I love watching other people do it though, absolutely kicking ass for your first hydro run ✌️

Came home after weekend away to a jungle canopy.

After another defoliated (hard work) the girls look battered. But I'm sure will bounce back tomorrow..

Definitely look battered.

Hit em hard with a major leaf defoliation yesterday. They looked like whipped pups afterward. I actually feel bad when they look like that. Then like clockwork, this morning less than 24 hours later the girls looked fine and none the worse for wear.
