Mystery problem, my girls are stunted for some reason

Can’t seem to figure out what is wrong with these ladies. They haven’t grown much in the past 2 weeks and I started noticing purple stemming coming from the top about 3 weeks ago. Vpd is good. It never gets below 70 degrees at night. A bit of spider mites but nothing uncontrollable. They look dry but they are plenty saturated and I even tried turning lights down to reduce stress. I believe they are getting watered at proper times and I know I am running them off enough each watering. Which leads me to believe it’s a nutrient related issue. I’ve ran ro through the soil at a ph of 5.8 and it came out around 6.3 so a bit high. But everything I’ve read leads me to believe it’s a magnesium issue and magnesium is best absorbed through the plant at 6.0-7.0. The runoffs e.c./ ppm came out about 200 ppm higher than I would’ve liked to have seen from and ro flush so they a obviously aren’t up taking nutrients. My big question is why?

The room usually sits around 78-80 at 60-65% humidity. Water temp is around 67-69 so I don’t think the water is to cold for the roots either. And so ur saying you use 1/4 tsp epsom salt per/gal every watering? I use 3 mls of calmag every watering so that why it’s so mind boggling if it is a calmag deficiency.

Also we are in coco, tupur to be specific, so I’m aiming for more of a ph around 6.0

When I use cal mag I have problems, my well water at 122ppm has enough soluble ca adding more isn't good for me.... I said cold but too warm and not enough food can do the same thing.

I'm not the guy really I just had a guess. They look similar to plants I've had when cold and over fed and hot and under fed but seeing your soil wet, I took a shot......

.I water/ feed/ water/ feed and I only add the epsom salts on water days . Others will pop in and help if you stick around, have a look at the forums while you wait you may find what you're looking for by chance....gl

This is exactly the problem I have. My water pretty much has a dose of cal/mag in it already, straight from the tap. I noticed the problems began during flower, when, in my old house, I would add a little cal/mag.

I think I was getting total lockout due to calcium. Stems turned purple, too. Leaves all went yellow, then white.

If this is the problem, what worked for me was the same as Pipecarver -- just use epsom salts. I never add calcium anymore.

I think using a phosphoric acid pH down, if you need to pH down, could help in tying up calcium.

HOW TO WATER COCO FOR BEST RESULTS.

Ok writing this cause i see this issue often and rather have a thread to link than explain this each time. This is not my work but a collection of info from many members here and I have put into practice myself. So first off COCO is NOT soil. For best results we want to keep it saturated...

I doubt you added too much magnesium. Calcium can lock out just about all other nutrients, except maybe nitrogen. The last pic shows the classic magnesium deficiency symptom.

I can't say for certain, but those plants look very similar to plants I've grown when I added too much cal/mag -- due to the calcium, not the magnesium.

Are you recirculating your run off or is it drain to waste? Do you clean your rez and irrigation between runs? Almost looks like the start of fusarium wilt. I’d sacrifice the worst one and take a good hard look at the roots.

We do drain to waste. Roots are definitely not as healthy as they should be. A lot of roots are turning brown after just a few days. But yes we keep up with cleaning the reservoir and we haven’t even been using the drip lines because of this issue.

Ya, I'm doing great, I've a nice harvest coming in now, + 5 at 4 weeks in flower and 5 fully vegged girls ready to go soon as I clean out the last 2 girls in my tent. It helps me stay on track by coming in here daily and looking at what fellow members can grow when ...they...stay on track. I believe I now have all the tools I need and some I don't. I get next door neighbour envy, when I see new gear , strains and grow methods that folks use & put my stuff to shame so I bought all the tools...lol.....I think....now if I can lay off my product long enough to stay on track I gotter made.
