So many reputable ogs look more sativa than indica to me the ogs I ran that smoked killer were 70 days plus tall with flowers sprawled out and lemon Thai look clawed leafs I think lemon Thai is sativa.....anyway I favor the sativa dominant OG's that's my opinion

OG Kush is indeed a Sativa/Indica Hybrid, so it's certainly possible to get a killer pheno, but the problem with OG is it's clone-only past making it impossible to tell what you're really smoking. Not to mention the genetic drift we're enjoying by crossing everything with a relatively stable indica hybrid which happily steps on whatever recessive traits might have appeared.

Now Randy, we mustn't alienate our Og loving brethren. Remember, we gotta sell og to recoup our Sativa related expenses. Just because our brains average about 500 cc more mass than the usual Og lover's doesn't mean we should forsake them. So if you are able, find an og lover today and liberate them.
Stone them early in the day with your wonderfully uplifting Sativa and they will be forever grateful that you released them from their indica induced couch locked state.

So @zeke what are your recommendations as far as the major seed banks and their sativa offerings? I've been picking up and crossing as well as outcrossing with other sativas pretty much the entire Ace Seeds catalog. A few Sativa Seed Company gems as well (mainly for the l.r. Mexican beans) and some of Cannabiogen's stuff. As an experienced sativa grower I'm up for any challenge and would love your input on semi-readily available beans you recommend. Thanks bud and keep up the good work brother man! NAMSLA4LIFE

If you can still get Zilvermist from All-Star Genetics, it was an awesome sativa I wish I still had. (SSH x Kali Mist). Sweat-inducing, white-knuckle, paranoia when overdone. My kind of daytripper :-)

Perfect, I just found beans available at my favorite site so I'm placing an order! Thanks so much for the rec!!!

Do you have any grow tips? I'll be doing my usual fox farms/veganic compost tea/cal-mag when needed, no pesticides. 8'x4'x8' tent.

Thanks amigo!!!

To an extent, I totally agree. I'll smoke any strain I haven't tried and love the entire spectrum of cannabis. That being said, being a cerebral person, I prefer the anti-depressant, energetic and psychoactive effects of a seeded sativa. Closing my eyes and watching my brain work in strange ways with images flashing on my eyelids, the way you walk outside and the sun seems 30 times brighter than it did before, music is better, painting and creative endeavors are more enjoyable and I'm hyper aware of my surroundings, making me enjoy every moment more. Those who don't find contentment in cannabis would be well served if more diversity was available in these shops that unfortunately are more often than not run by ex-dealers who leased a brick and mortar and hire tits over brains. Every time I go into a shop I feel like school is in session and I'm contemplating giving workshops because the ignorance is SO rampant. If patients are going to pay outrageous prices, they deserve better.

My only real experience with Sativas from readily available commercial breeders has been Nevilles Haze from Mr Nice Seeds , LaughingBuddha from Barney's Farm and Pineapple Punch from Flying Dutchman. The Nev's and the LB, I would recommend to anyone for indoor use. Both were very similar in growth habit , smell, taste and high to actual Thai brick bagseed sourced by me in Thailand. The Pineapple Punch had neither pineapple nor punch. The "soaring high" in the description must refer to its 14' height.

As far as obtaining "real" seed from" reputable" sources goes, get a passport if you don't already have one and go somewhere equatorial where weed grows wild or is readily available commercially. Nothing beats scoring a little seedy "mota" from some even seedier local whilst engaging in even seedier activity like attending an illegal lunar festival death match in a jungle somewhere in Cambodia. Collecting samples can sometimes be as surreal as smoking them.

Amen! I plan on adding some stamps to the old passport this fall as I usually do so I'd love any suggestions or contacts! I've always been able to score in different countries, but there's a difference between bagseed and "Strain Hunters" style pheno hunting in thousand year old fields.

Amen again brother I said AMEN!!!!

That shit looks interesting, but I stand by the opinion that Arjan or whoever those fucking guys are... they are actually mentally handicapped. If anyone actually plans on making any trips anywhere and they need a little company, I am game. As long as you are not a serial killer or a rape/murderer. Or just a random weirdo... Also, I need to go in the fall most likely as well. Going to be a biiig season, again. I was thinking Kashmir or Afghanistan. I have a friend who is in South Africa right now, but she totally did not go for the idea of shipping beans back lmfao. She is a missionary. I am currently trying to teach her how to perform in a few other positions... Positive vibes...

Actually, it was a vigorous, pretty easy grow. Be aware that they stretch... but seriously 10 weeks and you have some amazing sativa. I had two distinct flavors, but they were both very skunky/musky. Had a journal here that must have been deleted, or the pictures at least.
