Hello.

I am no expert. But I will give you my opinion.

Your current light is only blue/red leds. So you could arguably benefit from getting some full spectrum in there.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W4SQWJ3

Has good strength for upfront cost. But I don't like lenses on LEDs because of the narrower focus of light, the potential for heat issues or heaven forbid fires.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07527N1F7

Similar to above but without the focusing lens feature I would avoid. But the amount of power you get for the cost while still only being blue/pruple does not show good value to me.

https://www.amazon.com/Spider-Farmer-Dimmable-MeanWell-Spectrum/dp/B07TS82HWB

These two are similar enough. You get 50% more power (150w vs 100w) at the cost of inferior P1500 diodes vs the more efficient Samsung LM301B diodes.

If you can afford it, I would go all spider farmer. But you may need a SF-2000 or SF-3000 to achieve the same strength as the blurples, which could price it out.

If at the end of my rant you conclude you want the quality of the SF but at the price of the blurples. Maybe you come to the conclusion some of us do and go with waiting a month for a Chinese knock off to get shipped here. I know you said this was something you need now though.

See this thread for more info on that.

I have had a good experience with King Plus 1500. 260w wall draw. veg/bloom switch. Sorta full-spectrum with more than just red and blue diodes. 150$ USD shipping incl. (not affiliated)

Best of luck!

Thanks for your advise it is much appreciated and needed. I was leaning towards the vipaspectra 2020 but i was worried about the heat created in the tent since its a 4x2. What do you think, can in just add a 2nd little circulating fan?

That light should not be very hot relatively. A 2nd fan probably will do it.

I just wish sometimes when I read thru 100+ questions on Amazon somebody would ask... Does this light grow a lot of good pot?
I think the answer to that question would help more often than not😋

Best of luck with your choice man, hope it works well for ya!✌

I use a viparspectra p1500 in my 3x2 and the heat is not bad i can hold my hand on the heatsink and driver for a time no problem. The temp difference from canopy to floor is only about 4 degree F for me with a fan on floor and 80cfm exhaust above. It works fine lol "inferior" diodes, maybe, but tbh in a small slow wattage grow you wouldn't even notice the difference. Those numbers don't really add up and impact yield until you're doing full room size coverage... Just my two sense. I love my 150w p1500. I know ive gotten plenty of compliments on the plants i grew from it :) i also did go get a 240w samsung/meanwell setup for my 4x2 tent tho. Try for 30-40watts per square-foot... So 8x30=240 low end, 8x40=320 optimally for 8sqft(4x2).

Welcome to the Farm 🍻

The discussion on lights can and has gone on forever. I think the general opinion is to buy the best you can afford. Then there is the other rule of consumerism.. "you get what you pay for (generally)".

Personally I have found the KIND LED series of light to produce an even and powerful light. I own all three versions (2 xl-1000) and a 4ft veg light bar. They are not cheap but they do produce.

I'll let photos from my last two harvest speak for themselves.

Good Luck & Happy Growing 🍻😎

How true! But then the product would disappear because of Amazons use policy as soon as a "goodie two shoes" reports it. 😢

or
https://www.amazon.com/Spider-Farmer-Dimmable-MeanWell-Spectrum/dp/B07TS82HWB

any final thoughts?
Thank you all for caring.........You guys rock!!!!

An 100 watt light for $160 is paying a lot per watt. There are better deals to be had away from amazon.

https://www.ecofarm.ca/collections/...561c-led-quantum-board?variant=32382887690328 -110w for under $100 with discount

https://www.ecofarm.ca/collections/led-grow-lights/products/eco-farm-ecox-90w-led-grow-light-bars -Depending on the selection, a 90 watt light will be somewhere between $55 and $100 after discount.

And then there's also Kingbrite, of course.

It seems I have some more research to do. Thanks for your suggestion.
