Check out dynagro protek liq silica. It is cheap on amazon.
Also horse tail and horse chestnut. I too am new to this fermenting and botanicals.

...look into the organic silicate minerals (ex kaolinite) and just break these down with organic acids and water and bacteria (lactobacillus enzyme digestion) hope this helps.

I've been using hygromite instead of large chunked perlite to add some drainage that won't float to the top after a few waterings. Is there a better mineral for this?

Also I use compost inocculant (compostar) to add my bacteria to my soil. What would I add to break down the minerals for the plants, or do these guys do that already? Thanks!
