These are the first 2 plants ive tried growing. They seem to have done very well so far. My question is....is the top growth on these buds suppose to look like this/normal? Will the bud fatten up around the leaves? They just sprouted like this in the past couple of days. Also, do the buds look right? Just checking to see if this is normal. Thanks for any info

Hey J, welcome to the farm.

How have you been growing? In a pot outside?
Looks like she foxtailed which could have multiple reasons. Most common are high heat and strong light but some genetics also tend to do it more than others.
Since these flowers grow after the original ones have set they will mature later. You want to keep an eye on the original buds when determining harvest time.

Yes I figured i would try my first time outside. Then move on to a tent set up. Im in SC. We havent had anything over 80 degrees in the past 3 weeks.

If its not light or temp another thing to consider is nutrients. Bad feeding routine can stress her out and cause foxtailing as well. Paired with some root problems usually.
Might as well do the entire list:
What soil do you use?
How much do you water?
What nutes do you use?

She looks fine. A bit underfed, or maybe the soil's drying up slower than usual.

I used fox farm coco loco

I typically water about every 2 days until recent its been holding water and switched to every 3-4 days depending on the soil

As for the nutes ive been using foxfarm tiger bloom less then whats recommended every other watering
