Hello all. This our second year growing and we are looking for advice on harvesting. Last year I think we pulled to early so we wanna make sure we dont repeat that again. The buds seem to give conflicting information. The tricomes are almost all milky. There is a few that are amber. The pistols are mostly white on one strain and the other its about 50/50 but the ones that are red are only red about 3/4 of the way down.

Another sign besides trichomes & stigmas is when the entire bract swells. Often I’ll think, “shit is that a seed!” because the bract swells up so much. It’s tough taking decent pics of trichomes, but still looks like a fair amount of clear. I wouldn’t give too much credence to the trichomes on the outer part of the sugar leaves - especially if you plan to trim tight. (I’ve had some strains that don’t really turn white. They go from clear to red.) Post some full bud shots so we can get a better idea of what she looks like.
