Mannn it’s been awhile since I saw that setup! But as soon as I saw it I was like damn! 🤣👊👊

Ps I like the gear on the desk 😜
Starlink is awesomely quick.
Never buffered once.
My brother lives on the property and he is a gamer with a super high capacity machine and even he is impressed.

I like my setup and how I grow. Been at it far far too long to change around. I like Gorilla tents and the height they give me to work with. And I like my lights oppressively powerful per sq. ft. because of the options they afford me. I'm getting ready to retire the 3 x 3 and get a Gorilla 4 x 4 with 1' extension and High CFM Kit and a 8" ACI Exhaust fan. Then the question comes up do I stay with the HLG 650R Diablo and then add one of my 260 Rspecs to it if need be. Or just pop for a HLG Scorpion Diablo or a Tomahawk. And move the 3 x 3 setup on to a close friend or grandkid. Always have to think this stuff through.

Thanks for the reply.
I ordered a 4x4 from Vevo and it is a ci.pkete kit.
I will run this to see how it does and hopefully thus will be a good learning experience.
If I do well I will build a specific room in one on the pole barns.
Thank you very much!

The extended version is for if you are going to grow a monster and veg it for a couple months to three months. I actually never grew with it yet. I’m going to order it once my fox farm nutrients run out. It really is water + recharge. You don’t want run off because it’ll rinse out your nutrients. It’s 15g per gallon of soil or coco.

Be careful with dry back of your soil or coco. To much dry back and the grow dots will make your soil to hot making nuts burn happen. If you use coco get canna coco brand. Nothing else except fox farm coco. I use those two brands exclusively. Otherwise the coco will mess your plant up I promise.

So I’m a month away from getting grow dots and recharge for perpetual grow. I’m super excited. I’ve been growing awhile and it’s a b**** to ph my water after mixing up all my nutrients and getting ppm right by diluting with 6.0 water. If I don’t give nutes I still got to oh my water. Compared to fill up a jug and water with recharge once a week. You will save so much time. This is the only tip I wish to pass on to a new grower. Save yourself many hours using this method. This will put less stress on you but your loved ones. You will be around them more since you won’t be mixing bottles of nutes up and whatnot. Idk about you but that is the selling point that has got me hooked.

Oh only other thing you’ll need is cal mag throughout your grow and molasses for the end of flower
What do I do with the molasses?

What do I do with the molasses.
Some of us use molasses to feed microbes is the soil. It's a blazing fast food/energy source for some microbes. And is in some products used in horticulture to help boost microbial activity. Recharge comes to mind and I do use that product. But molasses can be a double edge sword like sugar can be for a human. If can be rocket fuel then drop us like a rock. Same thing can happen to the microbes in the horticulture world. I keep a jar of molasses in my supplies more because I like licking the spoon and remembering my Grandmother's oatmeal molasses cookies.

Personally I’d hand it down, go for the scorpion imo, I run a 4x4 and 4x8 but my 4x4 I swap out a phlizon FD6500(old style) (650w) and a PL4500 (430w) between runs, 4x8 is a cut in half Mars Hydro FC-E8000 I cut it in half to orientate it in n a 2x8 setup, can give each half of the 4x8 up to 420w (840w total available) but I gotta say for the densest buds outta the 3 lights the FD6500 threw the fuck down on the previous Frostette run, as well as the GP x okie run I’d definitely reccomend it if you wanna look around at lights, you could probably run the FD1000 in a 5x5 but personally I’d probably run the FD6500 in a 5x5 and max her out I never ran her over 65-70% in the 4x4 she just had too much juice to crank it up (probably woulda been prefect if I ran Co2 but I don’t lol) it’s also a large footprint 4x4 light she’s just about wall to wall in a 4x4

Only downside to the Phlizons is non removeable driver and they run a tad warm, but that’s why she’s put away atm, she comes out for the winter runs and I don’t need to run a heater at all in the lung room (I run the veg tent so it comes on when the flower tent shuts off that way there’s always heat pumping out in the winter for the lights out tent)

During the last four weeks of flower once a week you would add 1 tablespoon to 2 tablespoons a gallon when watering just water for the week. It’ll feed your microbes from the recharge. Go on YouTube and watch dude grows show. It sure helps me understand a lot more about plants and how they uptake nutrients.

Thank you.
I will try that when I'm further along getting setup.
You can go to the growdots site. For 20$ you can get your recharge and the nutrients you will need for two plants in 5 gallon buckets. It’s a bundle they got. Perfect nutrient line for you to start off I would say. Other than that I’d order some cal mag and you are good to go or just use epsom salt if you don’t want to spend more than 20$ and got that laying around instead of a bottle of cal mag. Growing is so easy and the plant really gives back if you let it. I’m excited for your journey

You’d probably benefit from doing 4 plants to 8 plants in your 4x4. Eight will fit nicely. 12 can fit with space to fit in there. I’d do a 10 pack of seeds all fem and do 5 gallon pots. Then buy a 2x4 and start on eight more a couple months from now. Then when the first 4x4 is done move the ones in the 2x4 into the 4x4 and use it to bloom.

Then your time from seed to harvest will be cut in half by getting another tent just to veg in

People will always have biases on brands. All brands will have defective lights at times
yeah but i have seen much more reports over the years on various cannabis internet place of people having issues with the mars TS series (half led from the panel stopping working properly, different connector catching fire etc.) than any other brand and models.

I keep seeing those posts/reviews also. maybe I got lucky? currently waiting on this Mars Hydro FC3000-EVO 300W (Samsung LM301H diodes) to be delivered. it will be my first bar-style light, hopefully no fires. they have it on sale for $220, I couldn't resist lol.

Yes!
My Daughter and my Nephew both have been growing for 10/12 yrs.
They don't give me very good info.
That bums me out.
I've learned more here in a couple weeks than I thought possible.
Thanks much!

here's a good guide to start with, it cover and sum up rather well the most common topics about growing cannabis indoor.

not a too long read.

yeah moslty the old TS series, they may have updated some of the components tho' ....

but i have helped a guy with his set up one-two years ago, in his country he had only access to a very few brand (or huge custom cost), he went with mars over lumatek noticeably more expensive, half the panel no longer work properly. and wasn't the first time i have seen this issue and others happening with the mars TS series. so i just give a gentle warning about the TS series now

thank you!
also i think what has an impact is the stabilty of intensity and voltage of your electrical network, this can vary widely from one location to another and some component resist better to unstable condition than some others it's possible mars has gone a little too cheap on some of the electrical components with the TS series.

I run a couple tsl-2000. Only problem I’ve had is the cable on one was kinda loose at the connection spot into the reflector. The drivers are detachable. I’ve got a few fc-e8000 as well. They are better made I would say. Both has detachable drivers. Never had a connection cord problem. The ts series is alright for veg because of the quantum board design style.
