setup 2 :) The 600 wins for light penetration over the 2 400's.

Good points ripz and FF. On that note I suggest:

setup 3:

1st homebox xl 120x120
1st fan 125mm TT 280-300 m3/h
1st filter 125mm upp till 300 mÂł/h
2st ETI 400 W ballaster
2st Osram lampa 400W
2st Cooltube 125mm
2st powecords
2st Easy-Rolls
1st Ventilationsslang 125mm, 5m
1st Timer 3,2 KW - OmniRex
25st 20x20cm krukor

* Great setup for SOG growing - otherwise I'd stick to the 600.

ripz i do know they sell smaller tents with that concept, 120x 120x 115cm, dont know what brand. but its sounds intresting, i might even try it hehe, as long as its done by summer im happy happy in that case 100x100 with 400w on both levels!

hehe you know what, im doing it ripz. im looking over budget to try to get 120x120 to do same thing with! soil beds and lots of seeds or clones! need to get something to grow lol.

thx ripz for the idea il keep you uppdated :hi:

excellent i've been dying to see this in action

get the 1m2 jardin with a hydrogarden 1msq utility shelf and you got your 2m2 sog :)

if you can afford it get 2 600w coolstars

an 8 inch fan with reducers extracting through both coolstars would be perfect with a 5" intake

i think with 80 plants per shelf i reckon you'd get roughly 13 oz per shelf minimum depending on what your growing :)

ripz

Awesome idea ripz, only thing I'd add is to space the grows out based on time, a perpetual grow if you may. Cuts down on all that darn triming LOL.

Good luck with your new system Coldnorth, I think ripz has suggested a first class way to go and as he say's you can harvest a layer every month with an 8 or 9 weeker - sounds ideal to me:cool0010: Arti

Hey I'm planning something similar in a 4x4 hut. Instead I will have my mothers/cuttings/seedlings rooting/vegging on the bottom under a digi 400 watter. On the top I'll be flowering sog 4 clones per sq foot under 600 watts. With lights on 24 hours I physically move the flowering plants every 12 hours into and out of my dark room. Stagger the harvests so you're pulling/planting every few days or so... been doin this for the last 6 months under cfl's with some decent results so I think this will be a nice upgrade :rock

wow, props on the commitment. I could never be tied to my grow like that, but it is a very ingenious idea for those that can pull it off...

On th flip side, you have 1000w on at all times, drawing the same as 2Kw in 12/12 flip flop setup. Toss in a 400w or some T5s for veg and you could pull a whole lot more without being so chained to the grow. But this may not work if the floor space isn't there...

Yeah it is def not for everyone astartes. Really only reasons I'm doing it this way is I'm on a budget, and in an apartment so trying to have as little equipment in the smallest amount of space as possible. Oh, and due to a pets illness feeding every 12 hours is a must! So that makes things a little easier on remembering when to flip the ladies...

Great deal north! Sounds like a sweet setup. Would love to see some pics of yours when ya get it set up! Hope I'm not intruding on your thread... I'm just about to place an order for all my gear and this thread got me thinking about changing some of my plans...

Ripz that's a good idea thanks brutha!!! Makes alot more sense... Guess I was just trying to avoid buying a 3rd light. My cfl setup in the closet should be just enough for my moms clones and beans... Then I can just double sog the tent and have a large variety for such a small space. I could actually do a 600 on the bottom and a 600 on top...or if budget allows it 1000 watters instead... I just don't feel comfortable running more than 1300 watts at once in there so we'll have to see what the blower adds to that... Probably a stupid question but do you guys run your fan/exhaust 24/7 or just on a timer? Now to decide on a 3x3 tent or 4x4 and what blower to get... And how to lightproof the bottom from the top...
