Cant thank everyone enough for all the info, I'm glad I found this place. Plants seem to be purking up with the water and light feed, when they immediately went droopy and limb after the transplant and watering, so I thought I over watered, which is why I waited so long trying to dry them out.
How often should I be watering and feeding them. Thanks again guys

Depends on the soil. You will get the hang of it. I would say hot weather maybe every day to every other. Soon as ya see em going limp just water this will give you an idea. If ya stick your finder in the ground and it's dry definitely time to water. Feeding will depend organic nutrients or amendments may benefit you outdoors but that outa my comfort zone to advise on. Give some time to see how they respond but I would water half doses and see how they react after a week or so then you will know if you need more.

Yes that’s good indication if you can stick your finger in and it feels dry more than 2” down it’s time to water you can add dead leafs or some kind of mulch to help the soil conserve water as well.

That was gonna be my other question, I read grass clippings are good to put on top of the soil. Does that sound like a good Idea, or I have a tree with big thick leaves

this is a better deal and a little more accurate... I bought the same one that you pictured and then a few others the past few years now I just bought these because someone on here recommended it..and they were right you can calibrate it and make sure it's accurate

I cancelled the order on that one though the moisture feature would be nice. I was given a tds and ph pen by a friend that will have to do for now. But interested it what you reccomend for future buy

Grass clippings will work fine to.

If ur running organic fertilizer the clippings will provide extra nitrogen as well that’s if there still green once they go brown they’ll be like regular mulch.

I run organics now but I like to dust clover seed around the base there legumes and they add/fix nitrogen in the soil then it’s ur job to provide potassium\phosphorus ur micro nutes & trace elements.

I'm gonna be the stick in the mud. Yes pee contains ammonia but also other toxins. Ammonia sourced ferts will lower soil pH, this is because the plants need an extra process to uptake ammonia and release h+ ions in this extra process and the denitrifying bacteria that break it down are aerobic just like all other at the surface depth. It should be kept at least than 5% of total nitrogen.

Imo if you want to add Ammonia you better off buying the pure ammonia from a grocery store often sold as a cleaner. Make sure it's pure Ammonia only.

What toxins? NPK and lots of trace elements. In forty years all I've ever seen was great results. I wouldn't recommend pee for hydro, but soil especially outdoors all it will do is deliver amazing results.

So I just started digging around... There is over 3000 compounds in urine. Surprisingly to myself unless you take heavy doses or medication or have an infection it as you say NPK, enzymes and other are beneficial. It's recommended to composted it first however

I can't remember where I read that is was not recommended but apparently with some caution there is no risk

Not recommend by nute companies. Also not recommend for hydro tank unless you just dig the smell. When I was stationed in Korea, they were pumping human piss and shit in the rice patties all the time.
