Need Help. Seedling may be dieing

Seedling is 3 weeks old and still only has its two starter petals. One is green and healthy the other is growing slowly and smaller also the smaller one's tip has started turning a darkish yellow. But plant still seems very much alive. Any one know what this might be?

To add more background I use a LED Ultra Violet light with a little real sun exposure since it's still young. I was not able to get it rain water for 3 days though and the soil kinda dried

What light is it under? I am perplexed as to why there are no serrated leaves, starting at the very least. Where did you get the seed?

That's what I was wondering. And out of a bag I bought to smoke. It germinated fine. And I use a LED Ultra Violet Light

have you tried watering it it looks like Frikin dessert in there.
3 weeks without leaves doesnt sound good under any circumstances. Id feed it to a bird and start again

If that is 3 weeks old then toss it, its a dude. how bright is that light. Seedlings need very little light. I single cfl bulb or t2 is plenty

It's a 4.5 watt UV

uv isnt the right light for seedlings. T5 fluorescent is really the best for seedlings or a small led

3 weeks old? It's definitely stunted, even if your able to better the conditions for it, it's probably not worth it, weed bag seeds are extremely weird and unpredictable. I had one at day 43 that was 4 inches tall it just isn't worth it.


If you can get your hands on better seeds I say put this one to rest and try with better seeds and better controlled conditions...


This was my bag seed at day 32 bro, 3 inches tall...

This is one of my current plants at day 22 (seeds are good quality, gifted to me by a user on this forum)

As you can see the difference is astronomical

Can you get your hands on better seeds ? Maybe buy some online? If you can, put the little seedling to rest and get yourself a grow light, I bought mine for 70$ from Vipar Spectra

the day after the cotyledons open you must start the light. If in doubt leave it on as soon as the seedling breaks out of the ground.
That globe is a philips 24W 1500lumen cool white globe. if you position it 3-4 inches over the seedling youll be fine. make sure its getting a 18-6 time cycle. you can move it under another light when its got a couple of nodes

Remember that CFL bulb will only help during the seedlings stage your going to need something more powerful for Veg and a completely different light for Flowering...
